Company was picked because I never had an estate sale before and they were in business many years. First of all they didn't show up for our first meeting. Then when we got together later it took 4 hours to go thru a contact while the wife talked and talked. Husband read the contract to us and told us what we were supposed to answer. I never heard him say anything about a consignment. It came up after the sale and a few things didn't sell I wanted and the husband told me to put in a specific place. Then wife called throwing a fit and said those items were supposed to go on consignment. Then why didn't the husband say that? My husband and I never read the contract until then. We would have never agreed upon that since they wanted it for 45 days after sale ended, we had a vacation planned. They said right to our faces that we had done a great job of cleaning and preparing for the sale except a few plastic bags we forgot in a cabinet, which they said it was fine, they could use them. Yet they charged us $300. for a cleanout before the sale. They also cancelled first date of the sale and made it a week later after posting the original date on all kinds of sites. After the sale was over they were going to take things to donate and the charge would be $350 to clean out items, another place they told us to sign. A neighbor and her church members decided they would do the cleanout for us. The man agreed to let them but still charged us the $350. If I had known they were still going to even though he agreed I would have told them not to do. Good people worked hard to save us money. They also agreed to the consignment time would end at about 20 days...yet didn't return items until ************************************************************* and I believe these people took advantage of me at a time of grief. My husband and I are senior citizens and do believe we were taken for a ride. We were paid just over $1400 out of over $4000 because of the extra charges. $45% their fee
