ON December 27, 2023, Flanagan's Service replaced a hot water heater that was just over years old and under warranty. There was no charge for the hot water heater. However, I was told there was a charge for the labor, which was $140 a visit. I was told that the cost to come out was $140. They came out twice. The first time he was here for 20 minutes to diagnose the issue. The second time was to install the new water heater, and he was here for 40 minutes. I asked how the cost came to $650 and was told by the service technician and the office manager, for the two service calls and and to pick up the water heater. I asked for an itemized receipt, but one could not be provided. I should not be held responsible for anything other than the service charge(s). It is not my responsibility how they get the water heater. I feel like Flanagan's Service used me, to cover the cost of the hot water heater, which was under warranty and there should not have been a cost to me. If I need to go to the manufacturer and file a complaint, I can do that as well. They need to be made aware how Flanagan's Service operates. I can't upload a copy of the receipt, because the copy they gave me, the ink isn't even legible on the customer copy.
