    I was a member of the gym back in 2019. I moved and no longer wished to continue my membership with this club. After multiple calls, visits, text messages to the owner I was ultimately forced to contact my bank at the time and file a dispute and stop payment due to the fact I could not contact anyone in management to cancel. The next month, after a successful stop payment, the owner contacted me via phone and thats when I was able to tell him for the first time I wanted to cancel my membership. He eventually accept this result and told me no further action was needed on my end. I have not contacted or been contacted by this club since. Now theres a debt collection agency calling me asking for a settlement of $1005 YEARS LATER. I was first contacted by email last week. I told them that this is a clerical error and I havent been a member at this gym for quite some time. Ive called the ******* plus times in last two weeks and no one has answered. I called their corporate number and escalated the issue to the regional manager & was promised a callback 2/26/2024. I still have not received that call as Im filing this complaint 3 days later. This ultimately shows why I wasnt able to cancel my membership, no one is ever there to give you the paperwork to sign! They take your money and disappear then try to threaten you with a collection when you werent able to cancel (even though ****** the owner gave me his word). Please assist me in resolving this issue. I have near perfect credit and will be buying a house soon. Its not a lot of money but I dont want to pay this shady business and ***** their money grab attempts. Ive read other reviews on this company and it seems Im not the only one that has had this problem.

    Hi 

    This complaint is not longer than a year old ago. That is simply when my membership was active. 

    I was sent to collections with no communication or contact from the club In February this year. 

    Please see the supporting email attached and reopen my case.
