      We sold our house through Lenders Escrow & Title Services (LETS) on 06/28/2024, represented by **** ******** of ***********************. As the closing took place at the end of the month, the title company, ****, sent a check to pay off the July mortgage to ********, on behalf of the buyer. However, that check was lost in the mail, and our account was auto-charged the July mortgage payment of $2053.09 by the lender (M&T), as they had not yet received the funds. ******** was unwilling to reimburse us for the mortgage payment, as the title company is responsible for the timely release of the funds. LETS has been uncooperative to send reimbursement of the extra mortgage payment that we were charged on July 1st, 2024, due to the payment being sent by mail and subsequently lost. Our realtor, **** ******** notified ****** ***** (Escrow Officer) on July 10th of the post-closing mortgage payment. ****** forwarded the complaint to **** ******** (Escrow Closing Manager) who on July 12th communicated that the final mortgage payoff check sent by LETS had been lost in the mail. LETS Owner and Accounting Head, ******* ******, was out of the country on vacation at this time, so **** communicated that we would have to wait until she returned for a resolution. On July 22nd, **** emailed that we would be receiving a per-diem payment for the delayed payoff of $273.70, but did not say that they would reimburse the July mortgage payment. My husband, **** *********, clarified by email that LETS is responsible for remedying the situation outside of the principal difference. The money that was paid in escrow from our July 1st mortgage payment was around $75, which would be returned to us from *********LETS owes us at least $1,699.10 for the late mortgage payment, not including any "per diem". LETS owner, ******* ******, verbally indicated that she would resolve the issue and send repayment, but has since stopped responding to emails.
