I cancelled our 1st appt 2 days ahead. I called the next week to reschedule, receptionist told me I missed my appt. I reminded him I had cancelled & felt it was becoming an emergency. When I went in the exam room, the Dr was standing at a table in the corner & reading. He was fully engaged & ignored me a bit. We finally started talking & the entire time he read. During the exam, he stayed at that table reading. I was telling him my dog had a cough that got worse & it sounded serious. I wanted a hw test bc it sounded like it could be her heart or lungs. I was also there for vaccines (my entry paperwork confirms all of this). He didn't come to the table to look at my dog, didn't touch her, no poking, no pinching. Never asked for a fecal. They didn't have her former vet records at the ofc either. He ignored me mostly as I talked bc he was engaged & seemed agitated with whatever he was reading. At one point I said, "I'll just keep talking & you just keep ignoring me." He ignored that too. He came to the table & checked her heart. He said she has a slight heart murmur, but what is concerning is her breathing is a bit labored (not sure the exact words he used). Then he took her to have blood drawn. He told me the cough was her trachea collapsing & there is nothing that can be done. He said he didn't feel it was an emergency. He never heard her cough, no xrays, no EKG, no tests. He said labs would be back in 24-48 hrs. I called & checked daily & FINALLY on the 5th day he called & said he didn't get enough blood for any results. He offered to re-draw blood at no charge but we didn't go back bc he doesn't know how much blood to draw so why have him do again what he doesn't know how to do. He didn't give her vaccines like I also wanted. 3 months later she DIED bc it was actually her HEART. Two of the ER vets told me her trachea was, "perfectly fine!" Exact words from one vet. I believed this dr, when he said "trachea & nothing can be done. So she suffered w/no meds & died.
