My company paid for Atlas to handle my move through corporate relocation. They also covered the cost of the moving insurance which might as well be a scam with how this company manages claims. If I knew the moving process was going to go the way it did I would have never gone with this relocation option!!
Things went wrong from the very start, the movers showed up hours late to pack my belongings and handled everything with zero care. I knew before all of my belongings were on the moving truck that there were going to be some serious damage reports. After loading, I was then told that the delivery spread of my goods could be at any point over a 4 week period. I didn't hear anything for over 2.5 weeks, and then on the late evening of July 3rd they asked to do a July 5th delivery. Who would possibly be available to take delivery with less than a 2 day notices and on 4th of July weekend. I told them I needed more than a 2 day notice, but they continued to ask with short notice before then asking to deliver 2 WEEKS after that. From pack date to delivery was over a month without my belongings for a move that would have taken me personally than 3 days.
Upon delivery of goods, they movers once again arrived very late. They then hurriedly unloaded all of my belongings, stacking stuff in a manor that you could not possibly verify everything is there and in good condition. After unpack I noticed they LOST and severely damaged many items, totaling up into the thousands of dollars worth of repair and replacement. Not to mention some of the items were custom made pieces that are irreplaceable. After everything was said and done, and weeks of back and forth with the claim administrator, I was offered a measly few hundred dollars. This companies practices need to be seriously investigated! NEVER use Atlas Van Lines!!!

The pricing for our move was estimated at a certain amount, and I was told that if the weight went up or down the pricing would be adjusted accordingly. When the movers weighted our stuff, it turned out it was about 10% less than originally estimated. A couple days after, when I got my invoice, the pricing hadn't been adjusted to reflect the actual weight so I called our booking person from www.****************.com (his name is Tim *****) but he insisted that I needed to pay the full estimated amount because he couldn't do anything and that Atlas Van Lines corp would have to make the adjustments after the fact. I told him that didn't make any sense and I believe he needed to adjust my final invoice before paying, but Tim refused and assured me that this is how things work and he would make sure everything would be adjusted after and I could reach out to him at any time. After the delivery of our furniture, I called Atlas Van Lines to ask about the adjustment and they told me that Tim from ****** ********** of California had to adjust the final invoice before I made my final payment. So now Tim **** is not answering my calls and Atlas Van Lines keeps saying that they don't know what is happening and that they will need time to sort things out. What a joke and fraud. Avoid this business because apparently is common practice to lie to their clients and overcharge.

I paid $16,700.0 for Atlas to move me from Californian to Texas.
After retrieving my items from storage and moving to my new home we found several items damaged and or broke but many large items missing.
10'/12' area rug, 20' telescoping bronze flag pole with large eagle topper, Brand new gorilla ladder, 1/2 of my 800 shot glasses collection from around the world and differ states and cities and more...
I filed a claim that I paid for insurance on our move.
After 7 weeks of many phone calls by me to atlas co and no return call from person in charge of my claim. I finally talked to someone they said my claim should be finished within a week. Two weeks later I heard nothing so I called and again left a message.
I got a return call that stated my claim was denied.

I was told a complete and full trace/investigation was done.

I spoke with the driver of atlas that moved me and he knew nothing of missing items or a claim being filed.
Driver did remember our gorilla ladder and said he would take care of it.
I also spoke with the other customer that was on same tuck as me. She was being delivered to after my stuff was dropped off.

****** was over 3 1/2 hrs late and unloaded most of my items in the dark by flashlight on their phones.

They were in such a hurry!

I was told my Atlas that I signed a paper that my items were checked off.
I have as never given any kind of a check off list (neither was other customer)

Driver ask me to sign a paper stating my items were delivered in my storage units.
He stated it does not mean all my items are there and or not damaged.
He said if I have missing or damaged items to call him not atlas because it comes out of his pocket.

I spoke with other customer and she has my area rug. She also stated no one from atlas called her to see if any items were delivered to her.

Atlas Van Lines takes no responsibility in my missing items and lied about doing a trace/investigation.

NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!
