      Last summer I lost my job, and I applied for assistance to help cover my rent. I filled the application out wrong when I returned it to my apartment complex. Instead of putting down the amount that I pay, I put the total amount of rent due. The apartment complex deposited the check and now I owe my portion of the rent to the apartment complex including fees. This situation stared 11/2022 and this is now being brought to my attention. They have rearranged the amounts, and there is late fees on each month. The balance that is stated is $1376.00 and then there is a overdue balance of -$227.00. I want to know what all these fees are, I tried to handle this when they brought it to my attention, and I want to know how we can handle this in a professional manner.

      I have been living here for almost a year and there has been an occurring issue . Im not sure if they are attempting to collect insurance but this is the 2nd time I stopped a small fire in the building this morning 5/10/23 there was wood in the hall random wood chips not sure where they came from or what the plans are . But I have a problem with the cleanliness of the building REPEATEDLY! I have submitted emails , work orders etc to get the building detailed. There are dead bugs , weed, Tobacco , wrappers , take out container, food and crumbs in the hall! I try to reach out to them they ignore me , they are very rude! The pictures online arent even how they look!!! I try myself to sweep things in a pile so wen they do come they can just pick it up but it sits so long that people kicks it over walks through it etc PLEASE HELP! If I am in a building with those who do not pay market rate then I need to be moved or released out of the lease without penalty! We have a huge crime issue it was just a shootout in broad day while children was getting off school buses I have a one year old and I come in the building to teens smoking weed in the building . This is a problem we are supposed to be a safe and drug free community!!!

      I am a resident at ************* Apts in Antioch, **. During my tenure as resident, the property has had several property management companies and/or owners. But I cannot recall ever being ignored by the office staff like I have recently. My nightmare started when a storm damaged the chimney exhaust pipes and causing water to come down not only from the chimney pipe itself, but also from multiple places from my ceiling. It took maintenance several attempts to seal the chimney exhaust but after some time it was under control. Maintenance was provided to the chimney portion of the apartment but, never got the ceiling looked and/or addressed after the water damage. After some time there were portions of the ceiling which were tender/mushy from humidity, maintenance came in and said there was no problem and placed some kind of patch on the hole that was formed and spray painted the rest of the area [poorly as one can still see water spots on ceiling] saying there was no problem and went is merry way. After multiple Failed Maintenance Ticket requests, Visits to the *************** Emails to Property Manager and Assistant Manager our problems have not been addressed but they actually got Worse. We found out we had MOLD growth inside and outside the ** unit and management after months of battling had us vacate to have the ** unit and ducts cleaned But, after a week or two we saw the air quality did not change and all of who live here are presenting upper respiratory issues. This company will not return my calls or emails and I am DESPERATELY running out of options. And to make matters worse 2 weeks ago the water heater from the apt upstairs flooded into our apartment causing water damage and we now even have fewer air flow from the ** unit. I need HELP, I need **COUNTABILITY for all that has happened due to poor service neglecting to service our apt generating a poor living environment for me and my family.

      I lived at ************************* for over a year, while there I had issues with the office staff being rude and not responding in a timely manner. In one instance, after they had the property by Birge and Held I requested that they fix my kitchen sink (the faucets were backwards), they said that was not an issue. I moved out. I had moving fees due to my dog having accidents in the apartment, to which they told me to send an official check. I sent two official checks (USAA had a limit) to the address requested. I did not receive any information saying they had not received the checks, and since the funds had been withdrawn, I continued living my life. They then sent the amount to collections, again without telling me. I have been trying to contact them concerning these checks, I am able to cancel them through USAA and send the checks again to them. I have contacted them and left messages, I contacted Birge and Held and left messages. Nothing. The collections woman was very rude. This messed up my credit score, and I was not made aware until I looked at it for something else. I just want to have this fixed so I can continue living my life. I have attached the forms that I will be filling out for USAA to cancel the checks that I sent on the 17th of October as requested.

      I am a resident at one of the apartments owned by this company(************************). Management is poorly handling its business and I am attempting to make it known how they are not handling things appropriately. We were told to move our cars in preparation for seal coating and striping the driveway which we did but were then told it was canceled on 2/28/23 and that we would be told as soon as the new dates were established. I have a trip out of state from 3/2/23-3/9/23. I receive a text in the evening of 3/6/23 5:44pm that the cars need to be moved for the seal coating/striping. I call, no response so I leave a voicemail. The morning of 3/8 I send a message via the resident portal as I have not received a return call. I receive a call midday 3/8 from someone other than management telling me that my car has been booted and towed and that I will be accountable to paying $150 to get the boot taken off. Also the office internet is down and I will have no way of reaching them other than going directly to the office which is a problem as I am out of state currently. So they booted and towed my car after less than a 24 hour notice and with no way for me to reach out to management since their own internet is down and they arent picking up the phone or answering their voicemails. It is completely unacceptable.

      I have had the very unfortunate pleasure of living in this place and dealing with the leasing office who frankly does absolutely nothing for their tenants and it was only focused on well I'm not really sure what they do there.I have been homeless since February 14th without any effort from the leasing office to get me the into a new apartment. My current apartment is covered in asbestos and destroyed by smoke damage. Not one person at this company has any sense of urgency to get a lease created. I'm currently staying at the hotel right now and spending an astonine amount of money because these people don't do anything. Birge and held is no help either even when you contact their corporate office multiple times. It's absolutely disgusting how they could think they can keep treating people like this in general. *** specifically does absolutely nothing. At 1 point I was being verbally and sexually harassed by one of my neighbors to which *** laughed at and hung up on me. Purposely calling me on a Friday at 5:59 so I couldn't actually reach Her until the following Monday, And then Of course she never followed up or did really anything except for laughing at me while I was having an anxiety attack because of this situation. Pretty sad huh?Someone higher up than ****** the Regional needs to call me and fix this now

      Ummm my apartment lease to be written up.......******** finally followed up. And she's getting that done. Seems she's (and *****, the person who has been answering the phone when your phones do work) one of the few people that does help at that place. 

      I also have been leaving messages and contacting the corporate office directly with no communication whatsoever as to what's going on with all of my possessions that are in the last apartment. ************************* has told me that she would contact me regarding this but that hasn't happened. I still have nothing to my name, and no communication from Virgin held. Also How about an apology for treating me like absolute trash during this situation. And Not from the regional manager ************************* because she hasn't done anything to help at this point l. Or at least anything that has been communicated to me.

      Okay? New apartment is great but the thing is I am still sitting in an empty apartment. I have had to spend thousands of dollars because I am without all my possessions that are still locked in my old apartment. None has updated me on what is going on recently...like I was told they would do, even if there is no update. I cannot go another week or weeks without any of my stuff. I NEED to get into my old apartment asap. I am also losing money work wise because of the lack of urgency to let us get our stuff back. Again, you all need to let me get back into my old apartment so I can get my stuff back

      We have been tenants for the past 5-6 months and management has almost always been absent. In December, there was a broken pipe in an adjacent unit that caused water damaged to our unit. Management constructively evicted us and resisted in providing us with hotel reimbursement or for paying for our electric costs (of which were being used by Park 66 to use heavy machinery). To this day, they have not reimbursed us properly for any of the expenses and the missed work. They failed to inform us to seek shelter elsewhere during this event. They forced us into a 1 bedroom unit from a 2 bedroom apartment. They almost forced us to buy out our old lease and sign a new 12-month lease. More recently, the apartment complex caught fire. The halls are a mess and everything smells disgusting. Fire alarms are not functioning properly. The management team has yet again failed to provided us with reasonable accommodations. They expect us to live in this uninhabitable place. We forced to live in a hotel for additional days (they have yet to reimburse me). They want to transfer us to another B&H-own apartment complex and will not allow us to break our lease. They do not want to pay for movers or to reimburse us for the month of February. No reasonable offers have been made. We demand full reimbursement for the month of January and February; payment for movers and a complete termination of our lease effective immediately, and without penalty. Moreover, we expect, not a credit, but a full reimbursement for the costs of hotel stays for the months of January and February. Additionally, the company owes us for missed work, meals for having to have to eat out, no access to amenities, no safety in our apartment and for it providing us with a livable environment. The current apartment complex is a health hazard and is a construction site that is extremely dangerous to us tenants. We want out of our lease and reimbursement for the damage cost to us by this company immediately.

      This apartment complex has been leasing me for $530.00. They had to move me due to flooding. They moved me 2/17/2022. They told me due to flooding in the last apartment I would be able to pay the same amount of rent for the new place until 2/17/2023. In august they put a note on the door saying I owed $2900. They said that the computer was overcharging. I gave them a payment of $1620 in August; they said I was all caught up. Then in December 2022, they put another note on my door saying I owed $1200 and that my rent was $620.00. I signed a lease in writing, not on the computer. I had three different leases with three different prices that were not the original offer. I asked for a copy of the lease because I lost the top copy of it due to moving and signing the lease all in one day. Because of the inconsistencies of the leases, I was not able to get monetary assistance from *****. They sent the wrong lease.

      Please note that you signed your lease electronically, and it was presented to you in the office by our collection specialist when you came in and requested a copy. The lease that you signed was for $870 a month.Attached is the copy that you and your wife signed in February of 2022.

      Rental assistance was requested by you through the ***** program. In doing this you were required to send a copy of the lease. We received assistance from ***** on your behalf in the amount of $2,610, which is 3 months rent based on the lease agreement that was sent in.

      I'm filing a complaint in regards to property management at Millstone apartments in ***********, after moving in x 6 months ago things have escalated to the point a complaint to the BBB is warranted. I have continuously tried to contact property manager ************************* with no resolution only push back. I feel it has reached a point where my roommate and I have been bullied/targeted. I have tried to contact other property managers of the same facility, all have which been re-directed back to *************************. I've expressed I want to be in contact with someone else, but only get her response. This began at the end of December. I've placed multiple maintenance requests which have only been half completed and took a while to reach out. A new tenant moved in a month ago and has continued to be a nuisance to all surrounding units. Here is one example: We can smell Marijuana all hours/days, coming through the vents, not picking up dog f**** outside per their policy and I've notified the office of multiple noise complaints. After bringing to the managers and front office staffs attention, it seems our unit has received a blow back of complaints, I've only been notified of 2 but they state there has been multiple. However, these complaints were given only given to us after we brought attention to issues to said unit. Last night, this unit was doing renovation (including hammer and nails) after midnight past city of *********** noise ordinance times. Please contact me so that we can come to a resolution, I do not want to speak with manager ************************* as she is unprofessional, rude and a bully to residents.

      1.Recieved noise complaint at 5:30 pm (*********** quiet hours are not until 11pm) Complaint was for our tv which we dont have a surround system. I informed them we would turn the above average volume down and that apartments tend to make noise that you can hear.  
      2. we sent multiple requests about marijuana smell in our apartment from the one above, each request was deleted and they finally sent out a text to the whole building, but moments after that we got a call that they didnt charge us our dog fee in September when we registered her. I have proof the meeting and emails of vaccine records after were to ************************* and she is just unable to do her job and didnt charge us but conveniently informs us after our complaint. We thought it was already paid bc it was supposed to be uploaded after our meeting.  
      3. We sent a noise complaint at midnight(past quiet hours) for construction above us. (******** admitted the residents said they were building stuff upstairs) After that she informs us that we had another complaint a week ago, and its now the best time to mention it. I have text proof where we asked to be notified immediately if we get one and they need to knock/call us. Every time we send something or ask a question we are then targeted.  
      I Have all the phone call recorded conversations/test messages and email proof. Just bc she cant do her job, we are now expected to pay a fee after it was already supposed to be paid. After our noise complaint she informs us that we are targeting and that if it happens again, we will have to move apartments. We were residents first and had no complaints till after new neighbors and bc we sent in Maintenace requests ******** has targeted us and its invalid 

      Point being: We are being targeted for inputing requests and notifying them of above residents not following policy. They are stating its bc they started complaints we are now coming back at them. However our complaints are vaild with proof and follow the city of *********** guidlines. We are being targeted and now asked to pay a pet fee that should have been posted in September and told we would have to move buildings even though we were residents first and have had not issues until now. If the company would like to reach out for an additional resolution, they can send us an email. However, the previous attempt to reach us was from a Regional manager who had only been there 4 months and I do believe is in constant contact with *************************. Therefore, we can't trust our complaints and reasons/ proof will be heard

      They agree that they mishandled every part of the situation and complaints. They targeting and retaliation was not to their standards and they employee mishandled every step of the way. We agreed on that employee no longer being in contact with us, part of the fee was refunded, and they cant force us and have no ground to force us to switch apartments ** there isnt proper resasoing

      I signed a 6 month lease in July 2021 at Chesapeake Landing owned by Birge and Held management. There were no services in my apartment. They refused to accept rent and their lawyer dismissed my cases in ************************* and ********** County Court of Appeals. I want dispute allegedly owed amount of $ ******* the third party Debt collection agency is calling me about vs $3200 they allegedly claimed I owed. There is illegitimate accounting I want to complain about to BBB which is in my three redit reports. The managers threatened me eviction , debt collection and credit reporting in early 2022 and have been successful in preventing me from working by repeat case filings , illegal eviction and claiming debt through third party.

      Hello,

      We are sorry that your residency at ****************** had to be terminated.  Our company policies require us to report balances owed to our community to the collection agency 30 days after tenancy has been terminated.  You will need to work with the collection agency to pay off your balance and clear your credit.
