So, one of the worst times of my life and they made it much worse. We had asked them what to do bc we had done training and at some point dr. ******** did med therapy. Nothing was working. So here we are a year and half later and my dog bit me and I dont mean a little bit but mulled my hand. I let them know of what happened and told them that we have to put her to sleep bc I had kids at home and couldnt take the chance of them getting bit. They still refused to euthanize her, so I had to call another vet, Noahs animal hospital that was very respectful and kind. When I called Decatur vet and talked to the main vet tech she did nothing but make me feel horrible for the decision that I had to make, even though isnt what I wanted. She was rude and told me that, they emotionally couldnt put a puppy down bc that is what she is a puppy bc she was 1.5 years old. They had a hard time putting 20 year old dogs down let alone a puppy. She then told me that I should just keep my kids away from the dog and when I couldnt I was to put her in her crate. I also had asked her what am I supposed to do if she would was to bit one of my kids like she did me. She proceeded to to tell me that we cant go off what ifs bc it hasnt happened yet. Needless to say, during our time of making this very difficult decision, after reaching out to recuses, shelter, posting her on fb, networking and asking people. We couldnt rehome her bc she had bitten me. This is not what we wanted, and the fact they have been around our dog and knew her temperament and the struggle we had didnt want to help. They made the situation way worse by making me feel so much more horrible then I already did about the decision of putting her to sleep to keep myself and my kids safe. I would not recommend anyone to go here. Please find a vet that cares. If I could I would give it a 0
