Today 11/16/2022 I went to Valvoline Express Care in Munster IN for a conventional motor oil and oil filter change. What I was charged for was 5.5 Qts of Full Synetic Motor Oil and 1 Air Filer amounting to $98.61. Ever since my family purchased our new 2010 ******** **** * ******* Van it has only ever required 5.5 Qts of Conventional Motor Oil. The air filter had already been replaced elsewhere in September and the Vehicle Check List which the Lube Tech completes shows the air filter as OK so I don't know why they would change the air filter. I don't know what the Conventional Motor Oil/Filter change is but tomorrow I am going back to demand a refund. I write this encase the business refuses to correct this problem.

I have a 2014 ******** 300 with approximately ****** miles on it. When I had an oil change last spring the owner, ****, said I needed to have the coolant flushed and replaced. He said it should have been done 3 yrs. ago. On 8/22/22 I brought my car in to get this done. While draining & replacing the coolant they failed to let all the air out of the system. The owner said he had to add a few more quarts of coolant because they were having a problem and coolant was all over the floor. I had to use the side door because of all the coolant on the floor. On 8/26/22 the temperature gauge went on as well as the engine light. This happened on Calumet ave. In front of the Valvoline place. I brought the car in and **** said I needed a new thermostat which costs $10. I took the car to my mechanic and he said they didn't get the air pocket out and punctured the bleeder causing the car to overheat and the thermostat housing, thermostat and antifreeze had to be replaced at a cost of $211.52 . I called **** and, of course, he denied it. He said the coolant was drained and replaced properly. Also, I checked the owner's manual and it stated coolant should be replaced every 10 years not 5 like he stated. **** also stated the 300's have a unique way of changing the coolant and, I feel, if he wasn't familiar with this car he never should have attempted to do this. The bill from Valvoline was $116.30. The total amount Valvoline and my mechanic was $327.82 all because of ****'s negligence.
