If I could give zero stars, I would. This place is an absolute joke, you pay exuberant amounts of money (UP FRONT) just for them to cancel your appointment the night before ; because you didn't confirm "by voice" though you had already previously confirmed said appointment via the link they sent you. This has been an ongoing issue since February. Continuously getting the run around while in excruciating pain is unacceptable to say the least. If you are in genuine dental pain and need assistance, DO NOT GO HERE AS YOU WILL NEVER GET TREATED. Also getting them to actually answer the phone so you can confirm your appointment? Yeah, that's not going to happen. You may as well write them a letter and send it off in a bottle at sea, you're likely to get a response quicker that way.

My husband went to Aspen Dental in Topeka, KS 2 days ago. He was told that he had so much bone loss on both the top and bottom that he had to have all of his upper teeth pulled and half of his lowers pulled. They insisted implants were his best option and had him sign a plan agreement that amounted to $27,000. He was in a great deal of pain and felt overwhelmed that he had gone in for a simple toothache to be told almost all of his teeth had to come out. We got a second opinion today from another dentist practice who said there was no work needed on the bottom and he only needed 4 teeth pulled on the top. They also said that implants would not be a viable option for him and provided very specific reasons. When we called Aspen Dental to cancel all future procedures (only 36 hours after his initial consultation) the Manager started calling me names and stated that he was going to find out who gave the 2nd opinion and file a complaint to the Kansas Dental Board for malpractice, he was going to submit a claim to our insurance and charge our credit card for $8,000 for implants that he said had already been ordered, manufactured, and shipped. Again, this was less than 36 hours after the consultation. The misdiagnosis in order to sell implants is a horrible thing to do to someone. I really hope this helps anyone who reads it to avoid Aspen Dental.

I had a crown on an upper tooth (14) that came off. I went to Aspen Dental in Topeka as a walk in. They said I needed tooth pulled and an implant.
Initially Brian wanted to charged me $22,000. I said I want implant only no bridges. That total charge was $4,905.99. The bill included an Oral B Genius Electric Brush which they did not give me.
      Tooth pulled.

      Date: Sept 2023
Post put in. I asked dentist if bone graft ($605.00) was done. He said no. Told dentist I never received the electric toothbrush ($135.00) or the cleaning described in bill. Dentist said he would tell Brian to refund me for the bone graft only. Everything else was ok. In other words we aren't refunding you for the toothbrush and cleaning you didn't get.

      Date: Oct 2023
Brian said I owed him another $1473.22 for the tooth. I would not get the implant if I didn’t pay it then. I asked him why he hadn’t charged this on the initial bill. Brian stated he couldn’t charge for anything further out than sixty days. I asked about the toothbrush and bone graft and cleaning refund. Brian stated nobody gets their money back. I paid the $1473.22 so I could get a tooth. Later saw on contract that I still owed $803.19.

Tooth attempted to be put on by dental assistant. I was told dentist on vacation. Dental assistant asked a man walking by in the hall to help her. Could not get tooth on. Xray taken. He said implant failed. Post needed to be taken out but he couldn’t do it. The man said the dentist needed to take it out. He left room but returned a few minutes later and told me he could take it out. Gave me some shots to numb the pain, took post out.

As of date this written, I have not received a toothbrush, deep cleaning or bone graft refund. Nor has my tooth been put on. I have called corporate many times. Do not return calls.

My new dentist reviewed the xrays and said the implant wouldn't work because there was not enough bone even with graft to take implant.

I recently had two root canals, two crowns, and a bridge installed between the two teeth. I understand dental work is expensive even with insurance, but the admin guy Brian stated to get the ENTIRE work done the estimated cost I would have to pay that my insurance wouldn't pay for would be right around $1600 and needed to be paid before I started any procedures. I paid them the $1600 in full and a month later I get a letter in the mail stating I owe them more than $725 for additional things that wasn't covered. I go to Aspen Dental on Wannamaker and ask Brian ***??? After he revised the invoice, he himself stated things were not adding up and he called a number and said he submitted a ticket to "higher" and would get back with me. I still have not heard back from BRIAN and have to pay the $725 in full by November 9th because of lack of either him not knowing his job or being honest with me of the estimated cost when I initially went there to access what work needs to be done. Needless to say, they have LOST my business forever and there isn't a blasted thing "affordable about Aspen Dental" at all like some of the other reviews on here. I guess if money isn't an issue with you go to Aspen Dental and get some work done.

Nobody from Aspen Dental ever reached out to me as they promised to do as they stated above. They sure didn't have a problem depositing the additional $725 check i sent them that i shouldn't of had to pay. *************************************************************** *****
