    This Hospital is extremely greedy they send peoples bill for anything to collections with no time to pay or dispute i have insurance and im do not have to pay co pays or anything yet im still being sent to collections the billing department is not sending this to insurance company correctly and because of that everyone gets sent to collections hurting everyone's credit please help me this Hospital is hurting so many people they are greedy taking advantage of so many peoples lives

    Thank you for the opportunity to respond to the complaint received by BBB in regards to to Mr. ***** ********* statement of "This Hospital is extremely greedy they send peoples bill for anything to collections with no time to pay for dispute I have insurance and I'm not to have to pay co pays or anything yet I'm still being sent to collections. The billing department is not sending this to insurance company correctly and because of that everyone gets sent to collections hurting everyone's credit please help me. This hospital is hurting so many people they are greedy taking advantage of so many peoples lives.
    I have investigated the concerns and I am providing a written response at the completion of the investigation on 10/13/2022. I apologize this is the perception of the experience. Where I cannot discuss patient specific information, I would like to say patients are sent multiple statements and they receive multiple phone calls with ample opportunity to pay their patient portions before they are sent to collections. We have verified that the patient did have co-pays, per their insurance. They can contact their insurance if they have disputes over copays.
    We view your experience as an area in which we need to continue to improve communications around billing. Providing Remarkable Care and improving customer   services is a strategic initiative for AdventHealth Ottawa, and your comments help continuous improvement in the quality of care and follow up billing practices at AHO.
