    We became members September 2012. We were promised thousands of vacation locations, all over the world, would be available to us. And for the first couple years, we had access to these locations. But then the locations disappeared. When I asked them about why we lost many of our locations, I was told that those locations no longer worked with Global. Today, I found another Global website, ******, that offers all the locations we were promised. We were promised these locations, we were told we could spend the rest of our lives vacationing All Over The World...we could go to Hawaii, every year, if we wanted. But they've taken those locations away. I've now spoken to several other long time members, who have also lost access to these locations. This is a clear BREACH of contract, false advertising, unlawful sales practices, etc. I have enclosed screenshots of the current available condos we have, the condos they make available to ****** members (very similar to our original map) and proof from my past travel that we had access to locations now Not available to us
    I WANT access to ALL units we were promised....which would be THOUSANDS of locations ALL over the world.
    I have also included another long time members map, that also shows THEIR access has been significantly reduced as well. They are doing this to ALL their members. I have considered reaching out to more long time members to see what course of action can be taken

    I have made multiple attempts to get in contact with Global Connections to cancel my membership and everytime I call I am put on hold for an extended amount of time, so much so that I am required to set a side hours out of my day just to attempt to reach somebody to talk to at this company. Even when I do wait over an hour or so on hold they suddenly hang up and I have to start the process all over, I have never dealt with a company that has such a complete disregard for their customers. I talked to someone that told me you can’t cancel and hang up on us. We can’t use the service we were misinformed, mislead and we were promised a lot of things that did not happen like a scam marketing offer. I need this to be cancelled and resolved asap. We don’t want your service it’s a scam.

    After some initial trouble connecting, Mr. ******** and I finally got to speak briefly on October 5th. Unfortunately, Mr. ******** had to cut the conversation short because he had a visitor arrive. We really did not have the opportunity to discuss the membership of his complaint in any detail. However, Mr. ******** did state that he recently had to file bankruptcy. Although Global Connections disagrees with Mr. ********** complaint, at this time I would recommend we wait to receive the bankruptcy notification to find out what the best resolution for Mr. ******** will be.

    In April 2017 my wife and I purchased into *** in the amount of $4000. We made monthly payments of $83.33 with an annual activation fee of $339. Currently in 2022 that fee is now $369. We factored in how much we usually travel with our kids and said it will pay off in the end. We were told that we can get condos at any time, as well as expressways. We could call in and an agent would do all the searching work and we would get to stay in the best of best places domestically and internationally. I tried to call several times and the first question the receptionist asked was what type of Member I was (V, D or VIP). I was transferred but nobody answered. I tried to book a condo online but the selection is pathetic... 1 place in all of Florida in June 2023. I then looked for a hotel but the prices *** quotes are higher than ********** or any other traveling website. I am being ripped off and put in a chokehold because *** can simply not offer what they promised during the event in OKC in 2017. *** is definitely not worth the thousands I paid for a service I can't use! I definitely do not recommend *** to anyone!

    Thank you for your recent letter in regards to Mr. Vleugels, and the opportunity to reply to his complaint.

     

    I had the opportunity to speak with Mr. ******** on August 10th. During the conversation we discussed the membership, its benefits, and how to best access those benefits. We did discuss condominiums are based on space availability. At the end of the conversation we submitted a condominium requited to travel in June 2023. A condominium agent has been assigned to the request and GCI will offer property to Mr. ******* as soon as it becomes available.
