    This place is absolutely horrible. It cost $1700 to be diagnosed with pneumonia. Within 6 days I contacted them to let them know what they prescribed wasn't working and asked if we could try something different. They told me I would have to come back in to be reevaluated for them to do anything. So they wanted to extort $3400 to help a patient with pneumonia get a antibiotic that worked. Stay away from this scam of a hospital. Any urgent care can do the same things at a fraction of the cost.

    Hello Austin. We are sorry to hear your visits at our hospital have been unsatisfactory. Topeka ER & Hospital is an emergency department, not an Urgent Care. Our emergency department allows for care from board-certified ER doctors, onsite advanced imaging and laboratory, inpatient stays, and more, which a traditional urgent care does not. Patients are only responsible for their insurance co-pay and deductible. We also offer a cash pay option.
