May 1, 2025 I purchased a pair of eyeglasses. On May 10, 2025 we picked them up and paid the extra $80 for the anti reflective glare lenses. I tried them on and did not see any “ anti glare “ at all but just thought I needed to adjust to them. On May 22, 2025 I went back in the store and told the lady that helped us previously I did not see any “ anti reflective “ help. She said I probably just needed to say “ tint “ upon ordering them again. I left a Google review with a little more detail and I’ve also screenshot both my Review and the “ Owners “ response saying they aren’t allowed to “ up charge “ for extras with my “ STATE” insurance? I want the $80 we paid for the Anti Reflective lenses we did not get. I also suggest notifying my STATE OF KANSAS insurance and and ask to refund the State of Kansas insurance money for the glasses I will never wear! I want the State of Kansas refunded and myself the $80 we did not get Anti reflective glasses. I do not know what my State of Kansas insurance paid but I will contact them this week! Small Claims court is also an option. He clearly states in his response to my Google Review they don’t up charge people yet he did with me.

When *** ******* came into our office on 4-8-25, she presented her United Health Care (Ks. State/Medicaid) insurance card.  Her benefit allowed an upgrade on the frame only, and she chose a Coach frame from our Deluxe Value Pak section.  She received a Coach frame with polycarbonate lenses (also allowed by her UHC Insurance).  Polycarbonate lenses include a scratch coat and UV protection automatically.  The frame and lenses chosen were within her UHC benefit.  She requested an Anti-Reflective coating, which is a shiny coating which keeps light from reflecting off of eyeglass lenses.  This coating improves vision by preventing this light reflection.  This Anti-Reflective coating is *not* included in her UHC benefit, but a separate charge of $79, which she paid when she picked up her new glasses.  Several weeks later, *** ******* returned to our location, and requested that we add a colored tint to the pair purchased from our store.  *** ******* was advised this was not possible because of the Anti-Reflective coating that had been applied.  Once this coating is applied to the lenses, it will not absorb tint.  Any tint must be applied to lenses before sending them for Anti-Reflective coating, and special tintable lenses must be ordered for this to even happen.  The attached Price Optical order shows the date she ordered her glasses, and shows no tintable lenses were ordered.  *** ******* received what she specifically ordered from us. Also attached here is a copy of the Seiko Anti-Reflective Coating order/receipt for her job.
