    Mr. **********

    We have many marketers that have sold our product. Some invariably close and the only information that we have is the information on sales date, length of coverage and renewal that they provide.  Your account record was one that showed a past amount owed. As we did not have anyway to verify the accuracy we had only the information provided to work from.

    To that end I have noted your record and had it removed from our system as ever being an active customer to insure that this does not happen in the future. I regret any problems that this may have caused.

    Many years ago (2016) I signed up with a company called Septic Max. I paid for a one year subscription and never used the service.
    This Universal company calls me periodically wanting me to renew my service. I have always told them I am not interested.
    Today they call and a man told me I was still under a contract that I had not paid. I told him no, I never signed up for service with them.
    He proceeded to tell me that the contact was binding and I had to pay. I told him no, I never had a contract with them.
    He then called me a Fucking Cunt and then hung up.
    Oh my I am appalled. I do not use this language nor have I ever had an experience like this.
    I called the number back and left a message to speak with a supervisor.

    A bit later someone called me back and they told me that they listened to the tape and I must have misunderstood. The man on the phone claimed the gentleman on the phone was speaking to someone else in the office and not to me.
    I am shocked by the tactics the originally caller used to get money from me and definitely feel harassed.
    I considering my options at this point. This situation should never happen to anyone else. I question this business’ legitimacy

    I regret that someone from our office called you and referenced that you were either a current customer who owed money or were still active and owed money. You also have my word that your contact information will be striped from Universal's  systems.  You also have my word that I will have the tape pulled as all of our calls are recorded at all times. If there was language used as you described in your complaint then that employee will be released from employment immediately. That type of customer interaction is not tolerated at our company and never will be.

    I can not guarantee that you will not be solicited by phone as your name is part of a septic product list that unfortunately circulates between 4 or 5 companies and has been sold to other unknown sources numerous times. I can only assure you of what Universal will do on your behalf
