I called a local KeyMe on 11/27 as I was locked out of my house. The man who answered said that a locksmith would contact me soon and provide a quote. The locksmith called and refused to provide a quote. He and two other guys showed up in an unmarked vehicle and said that it would be an easy fix. He fiddled with the lock and then said he could not get it open and would need to drill it out. Eventually, they got in. He finally provided me with the quote and it was $380! He and the other two guys then made me pay on a sketchy website and I felt intimidated to leave a tip. The price was far above normal and it feels like a scam. Very unprofessionalBusiness Response

I'm not even going to try buying from their kiosk. I see from the response s that they don't are too help. I just want to know HOW MUCH is an apartment key fobs. November 15, 2024 with keyme locksmiths company never gave me a price to remove key from inside the lock for garage key.
Never even quoted me a price for the service call when they finish job they told me $ 220.00
They did the job without my consent and gave me price after they finish the job..when l said that l was senior can give a discount they only remove $20.Business Response

Had an issue with a dead bolt lock. My niece could not get into the house. Her key would not open the door to the house. I the homeowner, called the above company to help with this issue. The guy finally came and could not speak good English. He was frustrated and had problems getting the lock off. He was able to open the door, but said he could not completely get the lock off and had to go back to the warehouse to get more tools. He left and came back, but still could not get the lock off. He became agitated because I owner of the house was calling to get information. He then stated that if I kept bothering him, he would not help.
How ignorant and unprofessional to tell that to someone whom you are charging 359.00 dollars to fix. Another guy had to come out and make the repair that he could not do. This action caused unnecessary delay and aggravation. I hope with your help, you can help me in reporting this company's rude and incompetent service.Business Response

I was locked out of our home on September 13. Called Lockme locksmith on ************** at 10:25 am. A technician came to our address and check to possible options (front door and door inside garage to home) and decided to focus on door inside garage that get us inside the home. HE use his tool and managed to open the door. I was charges $289 for this service and my search shows this is beyond fair area price. I contacted lockme locksmith through email and phone, but unfortunately did npt get any resolution or any good reason on excessive charge.Business Response

Called to have my car door unlocked, said would be there within 30 mins. Waited over 45 mins while my car was running and keys were locked in (which they knew of). Showed up, unlocked door within less than two minutes, and then charged me $300; no price estimate was ever given prior. Called and asked why it was that much, they transferred me to tech, said they would speak to management, and would call me back. They called back and refused to let me speak to management; said to call back later. I called again, they said a manger would call me, and I have yet to hear anything. I looked the number up and it says it’s a fraudulent number that takes credit card information.Business Response

Keyme Lock Smith is the name of the business
The date of the transaction was on 9/25/24 late in the day around 11:40 ish almost midnight .
They promised to provide me 100 percent with a working lock after re- allowing me to have access into my apt since I was locked out .
They charged me the total amount of 827.43 via ***** (other forms of payment they offered was cash , ***** or check) to the lock smith who aided me named A****.
The lock does not work . The lock they placed is rusted and was pretuting from the door . I took a picture . They came a second time in an attempt to repair once again the lock they put after I was locked out of my home for a second time due to their old rusted lock . They promised to send over the same lock smith and he replaced it with a 20-30 dollar white lock .I took pictures and attached below for you to see . On the second attempt after the lock smith left the following day the lock still was not working . I called and they said they don’t know what I was talking about.
I want my money back and I want this business to stop scamming people . No where will they provide such terrible service or charge someone $827.43 to simply aide an individual to access their apt by changing the lock .
My apartment superintendent R****** is aiding me and told me as-well that this is a terrible job that was done . He is aiding me as I write this complaint by fixing and taking out their useless white lock . I will keep it for evidence . I attached below also a picture of my super fixing the lock (he has the light fixture attached to his head). The other gentleman that appears in the other picture is the locksmith that goes by A****. I attached below also the copy of the invoice they gave me .

The locksmith came to remove a disc pad lock from our HVAC system. It took him just 15 minutes to remove it. He charged my boyfriend $400. Thats just a flat out scam. I am 99% sure that he also side swiped my car. He drove a red mini van and there was a scratch with red paint on my car when I went to go to work this morning. I have still not received a refund and they still refuse to help me over the phone. They still continuously hang up on me which is ridiculous. They said they would ***** me which is really weird in my opinion. I sent my ***** to them and have not heard anything from them since. They can’t spell in their emails and they don’t respond. They have still not *****ed me the refund. All I want is confirmation that the refund is processing but they can’t even do that.
