    This complaint is about the Kentucky Horse park CampgroundStore. My wife asked me to buy a food holder and I didn't get the right one that she wanted. Three hours later I returned and asked to exchange the unopened , unused one for a higher priced one that she wanted. The manager acted like a robot and refused the exchange. The manager said they could only exchange it if it was broken!

    We are in receipt of the complaint submitted by *** **** ******.  *** ****** made a purchase at the Kentucky Horse Park Campground Store on May 30, 2024.  The store policy is that all sales are final and this is posted at the point of sale.  The decision to purchase the item was made by *** ****** and he acknowledges that he purchased the incorrect item.  

    Additionally, *** ****** returned to the store on May 31, 2024 and attempted to get a refund.  During this interaction the store policy was once again communicated to him.  *** ****** acknowledged during that interaction and later communications with the Kentucky Horse Park staff that, while the item he purchased was incorrect, he had used the item the previous evening for its intended purpose.

    Additionally, it should be noted that our response has been delayed as the submitted complaint was directed to the Kentucky Horse Park Foundation (KHPF).  The KHPF is a separate legal entity and has no jurisdiction over the Kentucky Horse Park.  We were only made aware of this complaint when the KHPF shared it with our staff.

    I am rejecting this response because: The statements in the response from KHP are NOT TRUE. I returned three (3) hours after the original purchase on 5/30/24 and requested an exchange for a higher priced item. I DID NOT request a refund. When the exchange was refused by a rude clerk, I asked for the manager and was told he/she would not be available until the following day.
