      My daughter is profoundly deaf
      Her animals are her children
      On Monday our 10yr old
      therapy dog died
By late Thursday our 2yr old cat became very ill
We rushed him out to Jefferson Animal Hospital
They demanded $650 before they would even see him
After waiting almost 3 hours (while the staff player with their puppy )
He was discharged with minimum in house care and another $260 fee
He died a horrible death the next day
I was NOT presented with bloodwork the invoice shows nominal charges
      My daughter is devastated
      This was our mortgage
      Please
      Please
Do not let this uncaring callous greedy treatment continue

I am very sorry for the loss of your beloved pets. I know this is a hard time for you and your family. Unfortunately, I know that no matter my response it will not help your grief. Rupert was suffering from a very serious medical complication. Rupert needed hospitalization and extensive care, which was recommended to you but was declined. We did what we were given authorization to do.
You were advised that Rupert’s condition was life threatening. You were advised that Rupert needed extensive care and hospitalization. We understand that the treatment he needed was costly but in order to keep the facility operating 24/7, 365 days a year and be able to offer the best care possible to clients, payment is required.
A synopsis of the bloodwork results was on the discharge form sent home with you and signed prior to discharge. You were advised of the severity of Rupert’s bloodwork results. You were told his chance of survival without hospitalization was 50/50 at best. You were even given some medications at no cost to try to help Rupert.
      Best wishes.

We take our dog here every year. The last couple years ( since covid) is been just drop of and curb pickup. couple weeks ago I received the postcard reminding me of my dogs appointment for Sept 25. I called and make the appointment. The postcard state " we still operating at curbside..blahblah. " I also asked the person on the phone when I make the appointment the approx time...so I could plan my day accordingly. The lady said..I should be 2 to 3 hours, but we will call you cell number and let you know with time so you can come back to pick her up.
Well..I planned my day, but when I tried to dropped her they said I had to stat there waiting. I asked for a supervisor to explain the situation and see if they could honor their word, but the supervisor refused. Even worst ...when my husband and me told her that oh well we were gonna have to stay but we where very disappointed; this supervisor told us to leave because " nobody was gonna be disrespectful to her and tell her what to do because she was the supervisor " Then she told the doctor not to treat the dog and told us to leave.

Ms. Gugliermino, we are sorry to hear that your experience was disappointing. Curbside service was first implemented in March 2020, meaning that the owner would call upon arrival once in the parking lot. A staff member would assess the patient and if stable, the patient and owner(s) would wait in the car. A team member would call the owner when we were ready to “see” the patient and the owner would still wait in the car – on property. All communication between the owner and staff were by telephone. This service was applicable to “Bella’s” last exam in November 2020 and continued until earlier this year. As for “drop off” service, this is not or has never been offered for any routine wellness or diagnostic exams, but for certain procedures where the patient will need to be here for a long period of time (surgery, ultrasound, extensive lab tests). We do require that an owner is present during exams to discuss any treatment plan and for any authorization that is needed. When scheduling your appointment, there definitely was some confusion/miscommunication between both parties when curbside was mentioned. It is unfortunate that you planned something during your appointment time, however as noted above, we do not offer “drop off” service and it was explained by one of our assistants and the supervisor on staff while in the exam room. Two options were offered – to continue with plans after the appointment or to reschedule. We do have the right to refuse service at any time due to any aggressive behavior towards staff.
