Have Humania Medicare Advantage, as such one of the benefits is Hearing. Well come to find out they have Nothing to do with this benefit, and pass it on to true hearing! Will explain, called T** ******* to find a audiologist to get my hearing tested. They sent me to a audiologist who was very through, but found out have lost @ 40 to 50 % of my hearing. So of course need a hearing aid. Now Humania will pay, and my copayent would be $ 750.00 per ear, $ 1500 dollars. So time to look at hearing Aids, well they have none a available to show me or to try on. But have a choice of colors, and oay the copayment and wait for two weeks and will have the hearing aids. Well I when this much money in today's economy like to see what I am getting, which with this audiologist from T** ******* can not see any. Then having to wait two weeks to get them which is ridiculous! So now I go to S**** **** for shopping, and find they have a hearing department with a licensed audiologist. I get a free hearing test, and then she opens her cabinet a d various hearing aids available. She explains the different hearing aids and channels, and have me try on several. Well I purchase my hearing aids at the same price as my co pay. Call Humania to see if can get any reimbursement, NO you have to go to true hearing. Call True Hearing, and because I did not use their audiologist, I am out of network and they will not reimburse me anything. Call Humania back as that who is suppose to be my insurance carrier, talk to claims dept, a d told not their problem everything else has a in network and out of net work but not hearing aids, it's True Hearing who makes a decision. So apparently Humania hearing benefit is a joke and Tru Hearing only wants you to deal with their product, sight unseen and wait rwo week. Not sure what deal Humania and Tru Hearing have but total joke to say you have this benefit only if you use this provider. Time to reconsider my Isurance with these stipulations!,

I have a Humana PPO. I was in Staples, Minn moving there from TX, While standing on truck tailgait I fell backward onto concrete. Have traumatic brain injury, injured ribs, chest contusion, and other injuries. The ER and my new Minn docs ordered an MRI after finding something bad on the brain CT. But Humana won't do it unless I get the authorization from my PCP in Houston. They would not accept auth from my new doc in Minn. So my daughter flew to Minn and drove me back to Houston over 3 days. Humana refuses to pay for a MRI unless I get an authorization from my Texas PCP.
Also, while on phone I was told that a doctor I've never heard of ordered a MRI for me a month ago; NOT ME.
No where in the policy does it state I must get authorization for a needed procedure from ONLY my PCP. I do not have an HMO policy.

I have been waiting over a month to get reimbursed for a dental claim. I've called half a dozen times without resolving the issue. I feel I'm being given the run around because every agent I've spoken with gives a different response regarding my claim. I have provided all the information requested by them and yet I'm still waiting for a claim status regarding reimbursement that is owed to me according to my dental plan. If I could give this disorganized dental claim department 0 stars I would.

They lied about everything. I asked about specific Drs being on their plan was told yes. When I got there was told my heart Dr was out of network and it cost me triple the amount planned for my copay. This was after trying to use the flexspend card I was told could be used for copays, prescriptions, some over the counter’s prescribed by my physicians, hearing dental and Vision was turned down. Then went to pick up my meds. That are now 3-4 times more expensive tried to use it there to find out can only be used for dental vision and hearing. Since I have been on this plan I can no longer afford my meds that keep my heart or anything else in my body straight. And I can’t afford to go to my Drs. I have to make a choice now on this plan of food utilities, meds or Drs appts.

I have had a Humana Gold Plus policy for about seven years. I originally took out the policy in Illinois while still employed and had both policies. I retired in October 2019. We relocated to North Carolina that year so had to take out a Humana policy there. I saw a dentist in NC in 2020, 2021 and 2022 and Humana paid the dental bills. We moved to Indiana in 2022 so had to take out a Humana policy here. Humana is now REFUSING to pay my dental bill because they want my "primary insurance" (back from 2019 before I retired) to pay first. I have explained to them that I do not have any other insurance. My dentist is refusing to see me UNTIL Humana pays for my first visit there. Humana will not pay until Aetna, my previous insurance while employed, pays first. I called Aetna for a letter confirming that my coverage ended in 2019 so I can send it to Humana. My call to Aetna was on July 3rd; it is currently July 20th and still no letter. They said ten days. In the meanwhile, my temporary filling is hanging on by a thread.
My dental health is being compromised because, suddenly, Humana can't figure out they they have been paying my dental bills for three years as the ONLY dental coverage I have. I can only suspect that they are trying to avoid payment for some reason; perhaps waiting for some funds to be transferred them from somewhere? I don't know. All I know is that they are holding me hostage.

I cannot believe how absolutely inept and uncaring this company seems to be I choose this company for my HMO and not one medical company they gave me in their network actually accepts humana, which is very telling, can't understand why the government would allow a company to get funding and seemly not provide any real services to clients.

Joined last year to cover my one drug I take and when I joined they covered it after joining in the the beginning of this year they decided to drop that drug and told me to find a different drug. Between them and the dr going around and around for 6 months and no further down the road. I called to cancel. Now they say I can't cancel. And have to keep paying them for nothing. I told them I am canceling and removing my payment. And the Bbb won't even let me file a complaint. Which doesn't make sense either. Can only file a review. I only bought this for the one drug that I had to take because it was so expensive and I stilled paid a deductible and $77 co pay on top of it. I told them I cannot keep paying them and keep paying for my meds. BEWARE of companies like this. They should not have an A+ rating.

Humana erroneously claims to reimburse for trips to physician visits. Truth is there is no such benefit of the kind. At least that been my experience. They should remove that claim from its advertising. I am glad I don’t depend on Humana for any they say. I gave them 1 star only because I was unable to leave none.

This company lies to their customers right to their face. They are unethical. They make promises that they NEVER intend to keep. All lies to get your premiums but not to actually help the clients.
I was contacted by Humana in the middle part of May 2023 about a Special Needs Plan (SNP) that could help me. I have had Humans for a couple of years and they really have done anything "special" so far so I don't know why I expected anything different now. This plan is for people with Diabetes and heart conditions. I was told that my diabetic meds would be much lower. That was a huge lie. I've been on this for a little over a month and I'm already in a "doughnut hole" on my prescriptions. One of my diabetic meds is $284 this month, another is $462. I can't afford me meds this month, Thanks Humans for the lies! On July 10, 2023 I get a letter stating that Humana has asked Medicare to disenroll in the plan because I haven't returned a form. They state they called to remind me to send the completed Verification of Chronic Condition form. They have NEVER contacted me regarding this. The reason I know this is because I have a phone that eliminates robocalls, scams, and telemarketers. The caller MUST be able to speak their name AND press the # key. Well, Humana ONLY calls with illegal robocalls, instead of actually using a person to contact their customers. WHY? Because they do NOT care about their customers only their premiums. They were to contact my ophthalmologist about a different eye drop for glaucoma. Today, July 11, 2023, I reach out about this letter and the lady tells me they can fax a letter to my doctor. THEN WHY HASN'T THAT ALREADY BEEN DONE?! She then asks me my doctor's name. These people ask as though they have absolutely zero information about me. God forbid I ever have anything horrific happen because they will have no clue. DO NOT do business with Humana. This has to be the worst insurance company in existence. I want management to tell me why they lied!
