Dryer failed less than a year into owning it. Called about the warranty. They told me I would be scheduled by October 29th. If I didn't receive a call back in 24 hours, it was not confirmed. I called the next day because I had not received a call, and tried to schedule. I DID get an email confirming my appointment was on the 29th, but it wasn't sent until the 31st. The did eventually come (I requested between 1pm and 5pm, they came before 10am), but failed to fix the issue. They claimed it was fixed, but was not. I called again, and was given to consumer relations. They scheduled me for November 26th and sent me a check for $75. I left work early to make it, only to find out that they called me around 1230 and because I didn't answer my phone while in the middle of a firefighting event, my appointment was cancelled. They told me they COULD add me back to the day, but would have to charge me unless I went through Consumer Relations again. I called the number they gave me, and was told they would have to label it as tomorrow the 27th, but they WOULD come today, the 26th. I specifically asked. I was told "Yes, I spoke to dispatch and they already know and were waiting on this call." Around 4:45pm, I called and was told they would be at my house by 5:41pm. No one showed up. I called, and was told Consumer Relations is gone for the day, dispatch is gone for the day, and I have to try again tomorrow, when I have a doctors appointment. I called the number I was given for Consumer Relations, they answered Consumer Relations, but was actually Customer Service. They couldn't get the repair man out, so they rescheduled me for a week and a half from now. Never buying another product of GE again. This is completely unprofessional and unsat. I would give 0 stars if I could.

DO NOT BUY GE. Horrific customer service. Can’t get a real person for repair issues due to everything being AI. My new dishwasher leaked on the second use all over my brand new house’s kitchen floor. This was beginning of October. After hours and hours spent on the phone with customer service and being promised repair time after time- no actual repairman ever shows up! Taking multiple days off of work just to be ghosted on repair day. Got the run around from everyone in customer service- eventually the case got assigned to Justin who was totally rude- we were actually informed by one woman “he won’t be as nice to you as I have been”. Finally after two months of arguments with GE and Justin he agrees to a buyback of the machine. I thought this nightmare was finally over when I get an email questioning my address! They wrongfully withheld my buyback check due to their own complete ignorance. Justin denies to expedite my check. Now it will be December and my problem dishwasher from October is still haunting me. Worst company I have ever dealt with.

I will never buy another GE appliance. We have lived in our new home 2 years and the dishwasher is already leaking.
I scheduled a service call a week ago through their Bodewell scheduing system and waited ALL day yesterday for a technician and called repeatedly for updates (reassuring me he was running behind and still coming) and no one showed up. Today I was told I would need to reschedule. No customer service! No accommodation for your overscheduling or technician's inability to communicate. Given today's technology this is inexcusable
Do yourself a favor and don't buy GE

I am filing a safety concern with a defective GE Dual Washer-Dryer Combo (model PFQ97HSPVDS) that I purchased in August 2023.
The unit has stopped drying clothes, rendering the dryer function inoperable. This failure is consistent with a widely reported design flaw in this model, as noted in numerous online reviews and customer forums. Additionally, the unit overheats during the drying cycle and emits an electrical smell, presenting a safety concern.
Despite my attempts to resolve the issue directly with GE, I have been informed that:
      1. My warranty has expired by only a few months.
      2. I live outside GEs service area, meaning they will not provide support for repairs or replacement.
Given that the issue stems from what appears to be a design defect, I believe GE should take responsibility for addressing it, regardless of warranty status. This is not an issue of normal wear and tear but rather a failure to meet reasonable expectations of quality and durability.
Unless GE takes responsibility, I will likely file reports with my AG and consumer safety bureaus.

Absolutely, do not buy any appliances from GE. I have a washing machine that is so loud. I can hear it completely across my house. I hope you're not planning on watching TV or having a conversation while you're doing laundry. Cause that's not happening. The dryer has an Eco dry feature that you have to turn off every single time you use the dryer. Eco dry means it takes 45 minutes to dry your clothes and they are still wet. What a joke. Both the washer and dryer settings have to be reset every single time you use it. Wow that's fantastic. I love wasting my time resetting appliances that are supposed to be making my life easier.
Not to mention the horrific dishwasher that has to be cleaned every month. It's more work to clean the dishwasher than it is just to wash the dishes themselves. Congratulations, GE. You've made an appliance that is less convenient to maintain than just completing the task yourself manually. Additionally, it has been less than a year and the dishwasher is already broken. It does nothing but beep constantly. Beep beep beep beep beep beep beep beep beep beep beep.
Just when I thought no one could possibly make appliances worse than Samsung along comes GE! Way to go guys!! You're doing a great job of emptying our pockets and filling our landfills. I hope your CEO makes his millions though!!

I purchased a GE double oven (Model: CTD70DP2N4S1) in July 2024, and it was installed in October due to delays with our cabinetry. From the moment it was installed, the upper oven displayed an F350 error code and has never worked. Despite contacting GE immediately and scheduling five separate service visits (every time they changed a part in the oven), the issue remains unresolved.
To make matters worse, GE's customer service has been incredibly rude and dismissive throughout this process. They offered no meaningful solutions, even after multiple escalations. My family had to spend Thanksgiving without a working oven, which caused us significant stress and inconvenience.
This experience has been a complete nightmare, and I deeply regret choosing GE appliances. I expected better from a brand of this reputation. If this issue is not resolved soon, I plan to file complaints with the Better Business Bureau and the Massachusetts Attorney General's Office.
I cannot, in good conscience, recommend GE appliances to anyone based on this experience. Save yourself the headache and choose a more reliable brand.

Why isn't their office open during the hours specified on their website? My elderly mother went ahead and purchased an appliance from **** *****, again, and it doesn't work, again. This time it's a GE model GDE25EYKFS refrigerator.
We had issues immediately due to the fact that their specs don't include the size of the wiring that protrudes from the back. Not so they include the hardware and the coverings on top of the fridge. We had to break the door frame off and cut into the remaining doorway. We had to remove and readjust a cabinet as well.
Then, the whole thing stopped working. The lights go on but all our Thanksgiving food has spoiled. All her food to live through the month, rotten. I tried to adjust the temperature, but that didn't work.
I called at noon on a Saturday. Their website says they're open, but after 10 minutes of trying to input the right numbers, I got a message stating if have to call back during normal business hours.
      So upsetting!!!

Bought brand new fridge day two the fridge was making a grinding sound. called GE they said they would send out a repairman I said no this is a new fridge. I was told this is our policy. I asked about a replacement fridge and was told again there policy. I asked the repair man the same thing I want a replacement fridge. policy again, he hooked up his computer to the fridge and said the fan and sensor needed replacing. I said I bought a new fridge not a used one and would like it replaced. Policy AGAIN…the fridge has the same noise not as bad but it’s there, also the food in the fridge is freezing. the second repairman said I don’t hear any noise and the freezing of your food is from the seal and needs to be replaced. You have to call the manufacturer and again had to listen to their policy. And that is the fridge has to be unrepairable. I bought a new fridge not a used one we have thrown out food and had to put food in our neighbors fridge this is ridiculous that they took my money and said sorry we will not replace your fridge but keep repairing it.

My GE Profile fridge cost about $4000; I hate it and regret the purchase. As reviewers here and elsewhere have noted, it requires "XWFE" water filter cartridges, which contain an RFID chip (it's a metal blob concealed beneath the label). XWFE filters cost about 5X as much as XWF model, which is the same filter, sans chip. Yet the icemaker and water dispenser are inoperable with an XWF filter. There is no alternative product, no generic, it's GE or nothing. There is a workaround, and I encourage people to locate a video to learn the hack (hurry, because I imagine GE will eventually figure out how to hack the hack). Finally, and perhaps worst of all, the icemaker is on this machine is egregiously slow. It takes about 45 seconds to get a cup of ice. Every time I stand there impatiently waiting for the ice turds to come out, I curse this company. Once my fridge starts to have problems (it's two years old), I will trash it... And avoid purchasing anything from this vile company again.
