This company is a complete nightmare and the incompetent fools that work. There are far worse. I have been trying all morning to speak to someone regarding a part for my microwave. The whole time is 30+ minutes and every time I ask for a call back the person returning my call gets dumber and dumber. It seems these people have no clue who they're hiring and the people working behind. The phone lines are more incompetent than the appliances that GE sells. It's clear this company has become one of the worst appliance companies in the market today. I should've gone with a Samsung and save myself a lot of money if I was gonna get garbage as a result at least I would have gotten cheap garbage and not expensive garbage.

I bought a refrigerator less than 3 years ago and paid over $2000 for it. The compressor just went. They are offering to pay for parts but I have to pay for labor, which is over $600. They refuse to provide a new unit because it was over warranty, which was only one year. They were selling lemons and let people pay for them, thinking they were getting a good product, only to have it fail in 2 years and 10 months. It is a crime to sell people products that are made faulty.

** is completely mismanaging its warranty service and taking advantage of customers. Our *********** washer has been displaying various error messages and wont operate. Weeks have passed without a solution. ** keeps sending unprofessional technicians who waste our time without actually fixing the washer. Were left unable to do laundry while they send technicians who dont keep scheduled appointments and cant even identify the problem. In one instance, they ordered a part that wasnt even broken, making us wait another week only to replace it and find that the washer still wasnt fixed.Above all, this company wastes customers time and causes inconvenience without making any real effort to provide effective service. I believe GEs warranty is essentially a scam.

A poorly designed and cost saving manufacturing cost the consumer money for replacement. Constantly, the GE appliances that I have purchased have metal handles that have a plastic transition piece to a metal body. The plastic transition piece constantly breaks. That plastic piece is not available for purchase without buying the whole metal handle. Likely causing up to $100 when all that is needed is a $2 to $4 plastic piece.
As an example, please look at the reviews of one of the parts:
      https://www.geapplianceparts.com/store/parts/spec/WR12X23646
GE fails to address this by offering the part or an alternate part. Calls to/from customer service offer slight discounts but no real resolution to ongoing issue. Note that the link above is only for one of the models that use this design and for one of the parts on the same product. A dishwasher handle has broken twice, a refrigerator door handle once, and a freezer door handle once. At approximately $80 plus shipping that's $400 out of pocket. Products are made to last just long enough to get past warranty.

I have a GE refrigerator which needed a new ice maker back in November 2023 which they replaced for $293 . in June the ice maker broke again. The technician came and said he couldn’t fix it because the part was not available because the refrigerator was actually an LG refrigerator and not a GE refrigerator and the part was discontinued. He suggested I contact GE to get a refund on the icmaker and also sent an e-mail to GE confirming this. In July I contacted GE and spoke to a coordinator named BRENDIA and explained all this to them and sent them the email from the technician and she told me they would submit me a check for a portion of the $293 which was $173.82 in one to two billing cycles I I never received the check. I called to find out where the check was and now they tell me that the issue was pending. They can’t give me any information except that there are no updates on it and they’ll contact the initial coordinator, but obviously she’s nowhere around. I am still waiting for updates on this. I have spoken to supervisors and plenty of coordinators with no resolution. It’s not only bad business to sell a refrigerator to somebody that isn’t even your brand and not be able to fix it when it breaks but to go through all this aggravation to get a rebate on the money I’m owed is ridiculous. I will never buy another GE product. I don’t recommend anybody else buy them either. I left a one star rating as it would not allow me to leave none!

Purchased a GE washing machine only to have it stop working in 11 months. I called GE for repairs and had my first appointment cancelled 1 hour before they had to show up, after waiting a week for this first appointment.
Next appointment was rescheduled another week out. I was told the technician would arrive between 10am and noon. I had to call 6 times throughout the day to verify that someone would be showing up.
Last call made was at 6:30pm at which time I was told that dispatch and all managers were no longer available and I would have to call back the following day.
This company is a joke. I had to put 2 days aside from work for these appointments only to have GE no show. The second time they didn't even bother to tell me they would not be coming for the repair. Now I have an expensive hunk of GE junk in my home.
Get your act together and learn to value your customers. At this point I just want my money back because I refuse to deal with your lack of service. I'm sure GE will not even read this review. I wouldn't expect a company, that does not know how to treat its customers, to do or fix anything anyway.

WE have a GE Profile Microwave that is only a few months old that has gone out and we called in for service and the independent service provider that covers our area is Ares LLC and we had an appointment set for 10/21/224 between 8:00 & 12:00 and the service company changed the appointment to 10/30/2024 between 8:00 & 5:00 and never contacted us to advise of the change and they just expect us to be happy with the change. I called the GE customer service and the lady was very nice but advised me that they only had the one service company for our area and that they could do nothing about the appointments. I will not ever purchase another GEappliance again.

I rarely if ever write a review but I feel it’s necessary to explain my current situation with a GE Washer I purchased in October 2021. I sought out a GE product based on the fact they manufacture in USA and are a big market brand with a good reputation. Well the washer model GTW540ASP1WS serial# HS964790G broke. I had a service tech come out on 10/18/24 and he found the problem, the transmission needed to be replaced, a very costly repair $700. Needless to say that’s not happening. That’s around the price I paid for the washer. This is the first GE Purchase for me and quite frankly probably my last.
