On 8/6/23 I found the Wild Dog Trail Riders site on FB. I messaged the site inquiring about a ride that they were having in 4/24. I was sent some pictures from the FB page. I was told there were only 10 covered stalls left for April. The price was $450 for a rider & $375 for a non rider. There was a $200 per person deposit to hold the spot for April. But if I wanted a covered stall add $150. I decided to go with an uncovered stall which is included in the $450 price. She, ***** ********* accepted paypal so I sent $200 thru paypal *********************** (which I was told would show up as **** * ********** ****On 8/14 I texted inquiring about showers/toilets? No but they had porta pottys. I decided to go ahead & pay for the covered stall so I sent the additional $150 via paypal.
On 9/4 I went riding with a friend. My mare tripped fell & I was catapulted onto the ground breaking my left forearm & my right pinky finger. I had to take an ambulance to the ED. Off work for 6w.I was SO upset. My mare has fallen before, but this time was different. We were on a super easy ride, flat surface, why did she trip. I have to admit I had lost confidence in my horse. I called her vet, chiro, massage therapy, farrier & saddle fitter to try to figure out why she tripped and fell.On 9/28 I texted ***** & told her what happened & that I was going to have to cancel all my riding plans. My husband did not want me riding again & I didn't want to risk injury to myself or my horse on the extreme trails. She responded with "well let me know if you want me to roll you over to next April or October. It will be $150 for ea extra person for next year. "A lot of people come just for the music and food." 1/3 I reached out & again told her I wouldn't be able to come & feel safe riding & requested a refund. She said "I could roll to October or next April but I can't give you a deposit back. I pointed out her FB doesn't state the deposit is non refundable, nor did she text it in our conversations.
