  I purchased a Heating and A/C unit from this establishment on 7/17/2017 and was at that time told by the salesman ,when I asked, that if anything occurred that caused this unit not to perform the heating or A/C function that there would be no charge for the repair service. This ,as it turns out , was not exactly correct. When trying the heating system on a cool morning a few weeks ago I called for service when the burner would not light and heat didn't work. When I called and spoke with the receptionist I explained that I did have a 10 year parts and labor agreement and she confirmed that yes I did. When the technician arrived and preformed the required service he also acknowledged that there would be no charge however on 9/23/2022 I received a Bill totaling $95 for the services rendered a few weeks before. Upon calling and asking why I was billed I was told that the bill was accurate and I owed that amount. The reason for this was explained as " your unit hasn't been serviced sense it was installed ". I responded that no it hasn't because it has performed perfectly until recently. I have read and thoroughly understand the service agreement with E&M and with Trane and it does say that cleaning is something that is not covered and the service technician wrote on his paperwork that was the service he preformed however there was a little more than that involved. The furnace wouldn't light because a vacuum port on the combustion fan motor was rusted closed and this wouldn't allow the burner to ignite. I was then told by another employee when I actually went to the actual business and paid the $95 bill that this oerticular unit sits outside and things are expected to rust "to which I replied" this unit is a combination heat and a/c unit described as a gas pack and is expected and designed to sit outside it's entire service life. I guess I'm a little old fashioned but I expect people to stand behind what them tell you but once again I've been disappointed.
