Squeegee squad came out 10/24/24 for window cleaning, soft wash house, pressure wash and seal concrete driveway and sidewalks. They did windows, soft wash and pressure wash but never sealed concrete.
I noticed some leaf stains and someone on the crew told me that would be cleaned before the sealer. The sealing was pushed back to Sunday from light rain. When the guy came out I showed him the few stains asking to clean it before sealed in. The crew member didn’t have anything with him to do that. So he tried calling boss. I called Brian L***** the owner but no answer.
His crew left without telling me. I called Brian on Monday and he told me he was so mad he couldn’t talk to me then. We talked it out and he set a new date. Weeks and weeks of back and forth he told me they would clean it off and seal. He then invoiced for everything but the sealer. He asked me to pay the invoice and they are still going to seal. (I have the text messages if you need them.)
We payed November 1. Brian stopped answering my calls and text.
I have asked for the pressure washing money back because our drive way needs to be Power washed again before we can seal it. We will have to wait to seal till next year as the weather is now far too cold. Damaging our concrete.
He has been avoiding my calls and not responding to my text.
Pressure washing was $507.45 of our total bill and we ask for that back.

      Business Response

We were asked and provided an estimate on October 8 for pressure washing one driveway and one rear patio, the second driveway, second patio and all sidewalks were excluded. We completed this work on October 24 and provided a customer service call back on October 25 due to your statement that our guys missed some sections of the sidewalk. I spoke directly to you, wanting to know why we were doing a customer service call back for a service area you specifically declined. I informed you that we would have to charge you for the sidewalks and additional areas as well as up charge for the sealing of these areas and you agreed, and we completed the work to your satisfaction. We don’t mind doing add-on work and want to do everything we can to make the customer happy but when it happens this way, it is very deceptive and we are left with the impression that you are trying to get free services. On October 25, we also re-cleaned all of your window and door glass because you were not happy with that service. My subcontractor arrived at your property on Saturday the 26th to complete the sealing and was unable to do it due to the leaves being allowed to sit on the concrete after it was cleaned. We did not have available cleaning equipment on that Saturday to re-clean your driveway and shouldn’t have needed it to start. You had a responsibility to keep the leaves off of the driveway for less than two days to avoid this issue. Unfortunately temperature’s dropped that Sunday and have remained too low to complete the work. I know you were aware of the temperature restrictions because you left me a voicemail about the temperature and then we had a phone conversation about it, discussing the limitations and your concerns.
We cannot control mother nature. furthermore, I wasn’t avoiding you, I was on a short leave at my first grandchild‘s baby shower in another state. You were being very impatient and leaving excessive emails and messages that weren’t normal.

We would be happy to take care of this when the weather is better, providing a third pressure washing session at no charge.
You were never charged for sealing labor or material. I currently have $350 in concrete sealant expenses purchased for your property and $100 in expenses to my subcontractor for showing up to seal your driveway and a 15% discount ($276.30) given on all work, those expenses would cancel out any refund.

      Customer Answer

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, reasons for rejection are included below.

I disagree with many statements, Brian, the owner of squeegee squad has made. We asked him to quote soft wash house, gutters cleaning,  pressure washing concrete and to seal the concrete. we accepted the quote.
he stated that we were trying to get work for free. I agreed to pay the extra because he did not quote all the concrete. We did not know that he did not quote all the concrete until after they were done cleaning it.

We had them come back because they missed several sidewalk panels, as well as had water spots on quite a few of the windows that they cleaned the day before. They came back and painted some of the vents that they took the paint off of. His crew only painted one and had to come back another day to paint the other. I tried to communicate with Brian and when he stopped responding after we paid, I started messaging every day.I could not find another way to communicate with squeegee squad.

The pressure washing the first step in a two step process. They pressure washed, but never sealed it. The concrete got dirty quickly and now will need it again before I can see it. It’s too late in the season and the damage will be done to my concrete before spring.
I just want the 500$ back we paid for the pressure washing.
