    Been living in this apartment since May of 2023, I noticed everything seemed to be a little off with the amount of raffles going on. Since then its been issue after issue ranging from outrageous fees, to the downright corrosion of the buildings. The first big issue that came up was in regards to my washing machine breaking, took three and a half weeks to look at it. All it came out to be was a broken timer, only for the washer to then flood both the kitchen and the living room. I've now had six industrial fans and two dehumidifiers running non-stop for six days straight. Because of this I now have to keep my apartment at 80 degrees in the middle of May. The cherry on top? The water is completely cut off for some reason and only in my apartment. Convienently I found this out after trying to take a shower in the middle of the night. So I try to call the emergency maintence hotline and what a surprise the line is disconnected. To any future residents looking into this place, live with your parents instead. The management company already owns two other student housing projects in the town.

    During my stay at UC, I uncovered many issues with the property. My main issue with the organization is that after moving out they waited 4 months to look at my apt and charge me for "damages." The "damages" that they listed were what is the problem. In the contract they state that they come in after we leave and clean the apt which is fine, but they never did and still charged us almost 100 dollars for it. I am friends with the current residents, and I went and looked to see if they fixed or changed anything, but they did not clean or fix and of the "Damages." They also charged me and my roommates for other things such as a mattress, couch, door paint, which were in normal condition when we left. They ended up charging us over 700 dollars for things of the sort. We also had photos of everything and tried to talk to them about everything, but UC manager Jonas ********* refused to talk over everything with us. All of the charges were unnecessary and me and my roommates always kept our apt clean so there should have never been any damages. During my stay the police were called 5-6 days a week due to parties or fights and UC refused to keep security or handle the issue. Do not ever rent from University Crossing in Ruston!
