      The car smelled potently of marijuana. My children refused to re-enter the car each time we made a stop, but we needed to get where we were going and had no **************** calls. Truly a horrible experience. This was my first and last time using this company. Filling out the user survey and calling after the fact was utterly useless.

      On 12/31 on a what was supposed to closed account that has not been used for years due to a suspended license they took almost $400 out of my account without any notice. When I called back to get it put back it took a week and 9 calls just for them to put the money back and then take it back the following day. This company is illegally taking money from peoples accounts who have o active account since you cant be approved with a suspended license. They stole money from my bank account even after cancelling my account on their end they till continued to steal money from my accounts. I am now being told I have to wait 3/5 days just to hear back about the money they took that they had no right or business taking. They took the following day they gave it back but I have to wait almost a week to hear about why they took it back and when I can get it back? This is not legal and I wouldnt advise anyone to do business with this company.

      Dont use this company. They are continuing to charge us a monthly subscription fee. My son and I tried to call them numerous times to cancel the account but the attendant refused to do it because they did not have our email. Ironically we are getting emails from them. Their supervisor never called us back. I have a disability and I also feel that are discriminating against me.

      I called 866-4ZIPCAR this morning (12/29/2023) to cancel my account. The website wouldn't let me do it because the card on file was outdated. The answerer was a recording saying something about a $100 gift card...if I wanted more info to press 1 or I could hang up. I hit 1 because I wanted to speak to someone, not hang up. The person on the other end said he needed to confirm my info, including my bank account info. Then he said I needed to answer a few automated questions to get my confirmation number. The questions and recordings were about some sort of telemedicine $50 gift card or something. It was very hard to understand what it was saying. This happened a couple times before I finally got my confirmation number and then the phone hung up. I called back a second time, because it seemed so odd. This time the recording was a woman's voice and sounded like normal Zipcar and it gave me an option to cancel my account if I press 1. I did, and then it said an email has been sent and they'll contact me in 2-3 days. I got an email instantly. I called back a third time and this time it was the recording about the $100 gift card again. I hit 1 and when I asked the person on the other end what the h*** that was all about, he hung up. Needless to say, I've closed my bank account and gotten a whole new account. I would have never fallen for such a scam if I had received the call, but since I called the number on zipcar.com I had no reason to believe it was fraudulent. Either Zipcar is straight up criminal, or their phone number has been hacked by scammers. What gives ZIPCAR?!

      Ive used Zipcar for maybe 5 or 6 years. Always fraught with problems, missing cars, dirty cars,,extremely long customer service wait timeswhich can impact your rental period and could result in a $50 fine. I had a fender ****** in October 2023. Zipcar immediately suspended my account while they went to work on the claim (noted that it was the other drivers fault). 3 months later my account is still suspended. I have phoned and emailed repeatedly. When I do get a live person (had to go thru ********* they listened took notes said theyd get back to me. Still waiting. In the meantime they have been charging me for the monthly membership fee (October and November). Why? My account is suspended i cant use it.I blocked payment for December. They now threaten to send me to collections for the December payment.I paid it to avoid collection and canceled my membership. I have just deleted my membership. Maybe somebody will reach out to me to see whats going on.?probably not. I have spoken with my bank and were going to file a dispute about these three payments. Zipcar has no idea how bad their customer service isthat makes dealing with them impossible. Good riddance Zipcar.

      One day care rental over Thanksgiving Day weekend 2023. Vehicle reeked of tobacco smoke odors, interior was filthy (floors littered with food, trash and pine tree needles), trunk was completely full of pine tree needles, no windshield washer fluid, midway through rental car doors would not lock or unlock. Spent 30 minutes on telephone talking with customer service to resolve issue, had to de-install and re-install ZipCar app, re-create account and new password while standing outside in 25 degree temperature.Spoke to customer service manager the following day, went over each and every problem in great detail, expressed how annoyed, unhappy, frustrated I was with this rental car experience. Said I was a first time ZipCar user and based upon this miserable experience would be canceling my monthly membership and never using the service aain. Requested a full refund for the rental charges which were denied by the manager; received a paltry two hours' worth of rental fees refunded instead.

      DONT use Zipcar. Other than convenience, its not worth the money. I paid to use an electric vehicle, and the car would not charge at any of the stations, or it would add fewer than 5 miles each hour. I ended up stuck 200+ miles from home because the cars battery got so low. Zipcar clearly does not maintain their vehicles and does not have new models. Ill take my chances with Budget and ***** Such a waste of money and terrible support.

      Zipcar finished my trip remotely without my knowledge because of a misunderstanding with the customer service agent about adding extra credits Zipcar offered earlier in the day to extend my existing trip and locked me out of the vehicle. My car was trashed with spills, stains, and pet hair all over with a Maintenance Required sign flashing on the dashboard as I drove which said that the tire balance needed to be adjusted - first of all, how is that even allowed? The agent on the phone who heard my concerns offered extra credit and I didn't accept on the spot but said I would contact back if I needed it later in the day. The second agent I talked to had a huge misunderstanding of my situation and placed some protocol to end my trip immediately when that was not what I wanted. After the call, I stopped by a few mins and came back to the car to find out I couldn't enter the car anymore. After nearly 30 minutes of holding, I got through to someone who transferred to someone who also transferred me to another person just to tell me a retrieval process had begun and I needed to find a different transportation to get home. I insisted on taking the vehicle as they informed me that they would not be refunding me for the trouble and additional cost. They didnt budge and I came home. Two days later, they charged for 3hr late fee and a tow fee because they said there was "nothing" wrong with the vehicle. I will be contacting to take photos of the Maintenance Required sign along with copies of the phone recordings from this day and will fight my final bill with the small claims court which is an absurdly whopping $300+. Absolutely garbage, do not do business with them. Customer service agents are worthless and have no idea what they are doing. Each of them kept offering different things that didn't match.

      Reserved a car,got there and it wouldn't start. Was on the phone with *** for over a hr trying to fix the issue,they ended up changing my reservation to a different car. Paid for an Uber to get to the new car only t I find out they had done the reservation wrong. Called again, I've currently been on the phone 40 mins and they keep telling me they can't give a credit ** they gave one for the second car!! You can't give a credit to something I've paid for already!!.
