I have a receipt for ****** but was charged ******. I gave ****** & the tech told me he broke the ash dump door. So I was distracted he showed me what he broke & told me I had to pay to fix it. ****** for it to be cemented in or ****** for a new ash dump door. I told him it was not broken when he got there. He said well it happens so you can either pay for it to be fixed or Ill leave it . I told him I couldnt afford ****** & if he cemented it in I couldnt clean it unless I broke a hole in the wall. His answer was well you dont have to clean it again for another few yrs anyway. I called the company 4 times complaining with little response. No real answers just the secretary saying she would call the boss. Then the boss said I have the same invoice as you for ****** he said he would talk to the tech & call me back. Then I called again the secretary said she would call the boss again & instead the tech called ****** told him I dnt want to talk to him. I called back the main number again gave all my info again & got hung up on. I called right back the secretary asked the same questions Id been answering half the day. Then she tells me a invoice says ****** & their is no mention of the damaged door. I told her obviously the invoice was changed & wrong & how I had told the secretarys & the boss every time I called about the broken door. The secretary said she would have the boss call me again that I should get a call within the next few min. No one called at all & Im so frustrated & upset I dnt know what else to do. We hired Certified Green Team to clean our vents. The company quoted us a guaranteed $150 cost, then proceeded to tell us about the per vent cleaning cost. None of this was given to ** in the consultation, and bait and switch is absolutely concerning. They were sexist to my wife, and rude to me.Customer Answer

On Wed., Sept. 20, 2023, I contacted Certified Green Team on the phone and explained that my mom, who lives in *********, **, had been in the hospital and rehab for almost 4 weeks and that her dog had stayed home and been checked in on 3 times a day every day but that on that day, the day she returned home, we just discovered that the dog had urinated on her 2 couches and 1 recliner. There were no stains to be seen but definite urine smell. I requested a quote for getting the urine smell out of the upholstery and was quoted a total of $180. Certified Green Team said they could send someone to provide a quote and clean the furniture (if desired) on Friday, Sept. 22, 2023. I agreed that this would be a good date. I would be at work that day but my mother would be there in her home. My mother reported that when the employee arrived, he gave her 3 quotes and said that he might not be able to get the urine smell out for the quoted $180 and that she would need additional service to treat the urine smell that would cost a total of $585. My mother felt that this was a bait & switch tactic and had not been prepared to pay close to six hundred dollars so she had him only do the service that cost $180 because that had been quoted for removing dog urine smell to me on the phone. When the furniture was still wet and also when it was completely dried, it still smells strongly of urine. I called Certified Green Team on Monday, Sept. 25, 2023 and explained my complaint. The woman who answered the phone simply told me that they have a disclaimer that the quote is not official until the technician looks at the work to be done and makes the quote. She did not offer to resolve the dispute in any way. When I spoke to this company for the first time on 9/20, there was no mention of any extra charges for treating dog urine, even though I clearly stated the work that needed to be done. I had located Certified Green Team by way of a ****** Search for "upholstery cleaning near *********."Initial Complaint

On September 4, 2023 I hired Certified Green Team for mold remediation services in my basement. On September 7, 2023 my basement flooded; the restoration services sent out to dry out the basement found extensive mold throughout the basement and it was suggested that the mold remediation crew should have found it. A separate issue; I referred Certified Green Team to a family member. They obtained the same mold remediation services. However, they were only charge $750 vs. the $3,500. That's quite the difference! I attempted to reach the ***************** Line" which is not a customer service ***** It only connects to "Booking agents", who give you the run-a-round. The first agent told me he'd have a "Technician Supervisor" call me regarding my complaint. What I received was a call from "*****" the tech who provided the service. He was only interested in talking in circles, no resolution there. He claimed the remaining mold found grew from the Sept. 7th flood, yeah... in a matter of 3 hours, not likely. The basement dry-out process started within hours of the flood. The remaining mold found was extensive. I called back the ***************** Line" to finally be told there is no ***************** department" for submitting complaints.Customer Answer

Certified Green Team was hired to tuck-point chimney and repair crown. The two workers showed up not having a hammer, chisel or grinder needed to do job. Only tools caulking-gun,sponge,trowel and tubes of mortar repair. Tenants on 2nd floor could hear the 2 workers taking on roof, but did not hear any hammering or grinding. Workers said they were done in 2 hours. Apparently they just covered the old dried up mortar with the tube mortar which is useless since they will not adhere to each other properly. Now the job will cost much more to do right. They were sent to do a job without the tools needed. This company knew they couldn't do this job but didn't care.Business Response

************** had quoted you for crown repair and tuck-pointing in order for the chimney's function and safety.
Between the 3 appointments that were on:
- July 31st, 2023
- August 2nd, 2023
- August 6th, 2023The technician ********* was there for well over 10 hours, and materials were used.
We will not be giving a refund at this time since based on recorded conversations with our admins your main point of contention was that it was not up to your standard of how a chimney should look versus if it was actually functional or safe to use.
The technician, when he was there on August 6th, had evaluated and did the superficial adjustments you had asked for at no additional charge. You had also spoken with the manager as well regarding this issue.
At this time, between time, cost of material and that we attempted to resolve the issue of how pretty you wanted your chimney to be. We will not be issuing a refund.
We are in the business of making sure chimneys are safe to use, not making it into artwork.Initial Complaint

I am writing this letter to file a formal complaint against Certified Green Team, a business operating in **********, **. I entered into a contract with them to clean the chimneys and dryer vent in my home. 1. Description of the Issue: 1) The technician (*****) did not provide the dryer vent cleaning service that they charged me for. I have photographs as evidence. 2) The technician (*****) damaged the dryer vent to the effect that the dryer was not venting to the outside of the home. Creating a fire and health hazard in my home and requiring significant maintenance and repairs to correct the issue. I have photographs as evidence. 3) The technician (*****) did not use a drop cloth while cleaning the chimney, leading to a significant amount of soot on the carpet requiring professional carpet cleaning to resolve. I have photographs and a receipt as evidence.2. Attempts to Resolve the Issue: I called the Certified Green Team immediately. They sent another technician (****) to my home the next day who evaluated the problem with the dryer vent and then refused to correct the issue stating it was not his problem to fix.3. Unsatisfactory Response: After the second technician, I called four additional times and each time was told that a manager would call me back to discuss a refund/resolution. No manager ever called me. My husband called twice and each time was told that a manager would call him back to discuss a refund/resolution. No manager ever called him.4. Financial Loss and Impact: Certified Green Team charged me $350 for a service they did not provide. In addition, I had to have the carpets professionally cleaned, costing $350. Finally, I had to have a new dryer vent installed on my home costing me approximately $100.Business Response

We understand the frustration that the customer felt and we attempted to bring the second technician out.
When the technician was there he had everything with him in order to deal with any repairs or issues. What ensued was when the customer did not allow the second technician onto the property and demanded only a refund. We cannot do anything if we are attempting to help in the situation with both the secondary technician and manager calling her so we could go out to remediate the issue she had complained about.
The technician did not have access to the property and was told that the customer only wanted a refund with no resolution to the actual problem.
Our manager had called her the same day, and the day after. All calls going to voicemail.
At this time we will not give a refund as we had made clear through our office when she initially called in for the complaint. She agreed to a repair and redo of service and requested a different technician which we happily obliged.
We also made it clear to the customer that refunds are only given if we cannot resolve the issue and this would be with a manager to call.
We apologize for any issues caused in the first appointment. We attempted to resolve it on multiple occasions to no avail. The customers husband later DIY'd a new dryer vent since this issue had occurred.
At this time we will not be giving a refund since we did not have the secondary technician on the property and the customer was uncooperative.Customer Answer

I reject this response for the following reasons:
1) the technician was allowed on the property and into the house to examine the damage/unfinished job.
2) a manager never contacted me.
Its my understanding that Certified Green Team records phone conversations for quality assurance and respectfully request they provide evidence of a return phone call.
If necessary I can request from ATT a transcript of the phone call exchange between my husband and **** when they spoke on the phone at approximately 1:30 pm on 7/13 detailing word for word what **** said to my husband at that time. If nothing else, it will validate that he was in the home to evaluate the damage.
Again, NO MANAGER CALLED ME BACK and THE TECHNICIAN WAS WELCOMED ONTO/INTO MY PROPERTY/HOME. I'm happy to serve evidence of the latter and respectfully request they provide evidence of the former.
Thank you, *************************

Again, I emphasize that we never received a call back from a manager despite calling everyday for over a week. In addition, the second technician was allowed onto the property but refused to complete the service because it was not his problem to fix - he felt the original technician should be required to do the work. This would have been an acceptable solution had the business ever returned our call to resolve the issue.
I would also like to point out that the storyline the business presents changes each time they respond to our complaint. I would like to submit this changing storyline as evidence that the Certified Green Team is in fact lying about their actions.
I repeat that the only acceptable resolution to this situation is a refund of $350 AND a formal apology acknowledging that the Certified Green Team grossly mishandled this situation from a customer service standpoint.

The company was suppose to clean and inspect my chimney and clean my pellet stove. They were there a few minutes did not clean anything and handed a piece of paper stating it was inspected. Did not get the service that was expected at allCustomer Answer

I have not heard from the business in response to my complaint.
I have called them several times to try to resolve this. I get different stories from different people. Twice being told I would get a call back within the day (I did not)Thursday I was put on hold to wait for a manager. After 15 min I hung up because they were never going to answer.

We understand you were unsatisfactory with the service you had received.
When the technician came out on June 1st, the technician had explained that the pellet stove and chimney were separate services and that the $99 promotion does not cover the pellet stove. We did receive several calls from the customer the same day asking a variety of questions about the service, guarantees and had spoken to a manager same day of service.
Customer chose to only to do the promotional $99 which included a standard chimney cleaning with 3 point inspection and nothing more.
On June 7th we received a call from the customer asking for what the service cost would be if we did what the technician would suggest is best and was sent an email of:
- Invoice for services rendered
- Estimate for cost of recommended services (which was $230 but customer had said "was too expensive for them"
- Completion Certificate for their HOA
We did the best within our ability for the customer and customer did not want any additional services.
There will be no refund or guarantees on a service we did not do. Nor did the customer want to render.

I never got to talk to a manager I was put on hold for over 30 minutes, a waste of time. The tech did not do a chimney inspection. They didnt even know how to get the stove apart to do so. The paper they gave us was scribbled and illegible. I called back multiple times and never talked to a manager. I only ever talked to the receptionist. I never received an email detailing anything they are claiming (though Id like to see proof they sent it when they said they did). They did not provide the services they claimed they would do (the cleaning and inspection) even though I asked several times to verify that was what I was getting BEFORE the technician even came. The technician did not inspect the chimney, they did not have the ability nor tools to get to the chimney.
I am asking to be refunded for services I never received.

My mother hired this company at a specific price. A tech showed up on behalf of that company and unnecessarily upsold her far beyond the agreed upon price. I already verified the tech works for them. They are running a bait and switch scheme on elderly.

On April 30, 2023, a technician from the Certified Green Team took large rugs from my home. I paid a deposit of $600 to have them cleaned. After ***** (the technician) left with the rugs, I discovered that virtually all the information he gave me about the company's process for cleaning the rugs was untrue. The online reviews I read about the Certified Green Team made it clear that they run a bait and switch operation. I stopped payment on my deposit, called the company to let them know and to request they return my rugs. The two people with whom I spoke had entirely different stories about where my rugs were. Finally, I spoke to ***** himself, who said he would "see what he could do." Subsequently, no one from the Certified Green Team has taken my calls or returned messages despite my letting them know that I would be filing a criminal complaint with the police for the theft of my rugs, and that I would also initiate a law suit against them.Customer Answer

We did receive a service call for this customer back in April,
He booked for 2 10x12 area rugs to be cleaned in our warehouse and be picked up on April 30th.
We picked it up the morning of April 30th.The customer called after hours at 8pm that very day to ask for his rugs back, and to cancel the payment. We told him the technician and/or the manager would call him the next day.
May 1st came and both manager and technician attempted to reach the customer to no avail. We had no problem at the time as it was before the 3 day period for change of services period per ******************* law.
We did not hear back from the customer at all until May 3rd, this is now a full 24 hours past the 3 day waiting period and the rugs had already started the cleaning on them.
This was explained to the customer and we cannot stop payment or services once started. This should have been addressed no later that May2nd and we did attempt to contact the customer.
The total for the handwashing services for the 2 10x12 specialty rugs was $1,200. Customer only paid $600 deposit.
When we delivered the area rugs on May 15th, there was issues with the customer not willing to pay the remaining balance. We decided to cut the loss of the remaining balance as this seemed to be a general issue with this particular customer either in communication or strapped for cash. We were willing to cut this loss and were negative cleaning these rugs based on the materials and labor used.
We will not provide a refund nor redo a service at this time for this customer.

- Date of Transaction: 04/20/2023 - Amount Quoted: $79 - Amount Paid: $350 - Service Provided: Deep Carpet Cleaning - Technician: ***************** - Invoice Number: #RS-CR-K5ADC7-MA Company has not tried whatsoever to resolve the complaint. Summary of Incident: I called on 04/20/2023 for a quote to have my carpet deep cleaned, I live in a studio apartment, less than 500 sq. ft. They quoted me over the phone, which was a recorded call, $79. The technician came and charged me $350. He was only there for 20 minutes, and the carpet was not cleaned at all. I would have refused payment, but he would not leave until I Venmoed him. I am a petite girl living alone, and had this technician refusing to leave until I paid him, I was scared. I contacted the company and they have not been any help, they keep pushing off my complaint and saying I signed a contract. There was no contract or written agreement to paying that $350. They. have failed to provide an itemized invoice with a breakdown cost as to how my original quote more than tripled in price, with only 20 minutes of work... As you can see in the photo, the invoice only states "deep cleaning". There is no breakdown of cost/square footage, or chemical used, labor, etc. During this time they had a "deal" where 2 rooms were $80 and 4 rooms were $100. So I cannot comprehend how 20 minutes on a less than 500. sq. ft. area. equivocated to $350 (more than x3 my quoted $79).They have failed to contact ** with a manager. They have failed to call us back. They are avoiding the problem and refuse to come to a resolution. I have tried. for over 2 weeks now, calling them every day, with nothing to show for. They let their technician intimate me in my own home to paying the $350 and have done nothing to make it. right. Looking at other reviews/complaints, I noticed all overcharged reviews were females, alone at the time. There is a pattern of technicians overcharging females living alone, and intimidated them to pay an absurd amount.Business Response

We apologize that the customer was unsatisfied with the technicians attitude. We do have to note that all calls are recorded and when booking the appointment we did verify that the 3 rooms special for $79.99 was for the professional steam cleaning.
The technician did go over the heavy traffic and stains with the customer and gave his suggestions for the service which was the deep cleaning package. This included:
- shampoo- Deodorizing treatment
- Enzyme lifters
- Pretreatment
- Emulsifier blend
- Finishing scotch guard
The following services was $350 based on the condition of the carpet and with how many passes the technician had done.
We did receive a call the following day about wanting a breakdown of service but not a complaint about the technician.
The manager did attempt to contact her multiple times between April 21st to April 24th 2023 with no avail.
Customer followed up on April 26th then asking for a new receipt than the one provided with the technician that was with her authorized signatures. We had provided that within 24 hours of request.
We have no mention of a service issue on any of the recorded calls. If there was, we would have gladly done a free redo of service.
At this time as 4 months have passed, no refund will be given at this time nor a free redo as this is past redo policy.
