Liberty Mutual and their subsidiary ****** will use any technicality they can to deny coverage for legitimate claims, even for longtime customers. I found out yesterday what a terrible company they are. My advice is to steer clear of this company. To make a long story short, the undercarriage of my RV was torn up by a dog or coyote or some other animal. And they have this crazy exclusion that allows them to deny coverage if this should happen beyond two weeks that I occupied it. For my insurance to be effective I would basically have to be living in it. They are dishonest and act in bad faith. They know these ***s are used a few times a year. And I wonder what representation they imply by insuring the *** when we present this insurance to banks as protection for their loan. I don't think the banks expect this type of exclusion for this type of vehicle. I am not done with my verbalizing of this despicable behavior. My next steps will be to approach the lender (who is one of the largest in the world) and warn them against accepting (Liberty Mutual) Safeco RV insurance, because their assets are not protected.Liberty Mutual Group

Tired to get a homeowner and car insurance quote. The lady said that I had points and my husband has points on our driver license. That is the reason that I could not get a quote for insurance. So, I get my MVR and look at my driving record and it saids that I do not have any points. I call back today, I tell them that I have evidence that I do not have any points. They say that on their end that they see points on my record. I tell them that I have evidence that I do not. They preceded to say that I need to talk to DMV or my old insurance (they do not put points on your record only DMV does) about the points. I believed that she lied and just didnt want to bother with me. I am glad that I saw how they treat new customers. I will never get my business. They seem scammy.Liberty Mutual Group

In June of 2023 was in the process of looking for better rates for car insurance.The insurance agent I spoke with was Demeaning and so Rude. I realized that, if this is the kind of person Liberty Mutual would hire to represent them , this is not the company I want to be with. I called and complained to customer service but nothing was done. We went with another insurance .company.Liberty Mutual Group

My Auto policy with Liberty Mutual was valid without claims for 5 years. I finally found a replacement policy for 50% less. There is a cancer diagnosis in our family so reduced expenses are necessary. After I contacted Liberty Mutual, and explained this extenuating circumstance to customer service (both in text exchange and with a live person), I received no requested ***** period for the $600 we still owe. I contacted them before the payment was 30 days overdue (granted it was 1 week after my second notice of a balance due). They told me I would be sent to collections, and "I could work it out with them". Now, I am trying to pay my balance on the day they said it was due and I find that my account is not accessible for resolving my payment! I find it ridiculous that they splash notices of assistance for L.A. fire victims, but do not acknowledge that chronic disease is an equally unforeseen emergency. Large companies need to adopt some *****, and ***** periods for their customers.Liberty Mutual Group

Liberty Mutual have the most incompetent agents they always input the wrong information they put my car on as owned instead of financed they didnt even put me onthe policy. They put me as a driver instead of a policyholder. They never sent me documentation stating that my car was categorized under owned instead of financed. They absolve themselves of all responsibility of the fact that they allowed my finance car to be taken off of full coverage by my husband, who did not have any idea that he had to keep it on full coverage. The contract themselves one agent told me that their policy states that finance cards are not allowed to be offer full coverage and then another one told me that they dont have such a policy. I asked him how was I supposed to know? They made a mistake if its not stated on my policy documents and they could not even answer my question correctly. They mislead people lie, and our thieves please do not consider them as you for your Car insurance policy save yourself the Trouble.Liberty Mutual Group

I have worked with ******* ********-******* but she just keeps re-sending the same info from the claims department. I have asked to speak to ******* ******* but they are unwilling to connect me with his office and she have been very unhelpful. I feel if Mr. ******* looked at the facts of the claim, he would immediately approve the claim. The insured did everything they were supposed to do and relied on their agents word when they called to make sure they were covered. I submitted a text exchange between the Wolf's showing when they called to verify coverage but I guess ******* thinks they are lying and the texts are fake. I have another email in with ******* to speak with Mr. ******* but I am not very hopeful that will happen. ******************** has my contact info.Liberty Mutual Group

Terrible company... I had a pipe break in my second floor bathroom with water pouring through living room ceiling and then down to basement. I called Safeco the same day. I had plumber in to repair the pipe and water mitigation people in to repair water damage.I asked ****** to come and assess the pipe and damage - repeatedly... ****** said that they did not need to come out and asked for a picture (which I sent them right away) and I asked them to come and assess the damage in person.Safeco flat out denied the claim a few weeks later stating that the picture showed that it was a "slow leak" as there was a crack in the pipe. Yes - there was crack in the pipe that caused a flood of water to gush through my house. It was not a "slow leak" but a one-time major event.I gave ****** the reports from plumber, reports from water mitigation people (the bill for water mitigation alone was almost $4,000 and that just included water clean up - not repairs) due to the extensive water damage and again asked Safeco to come to the house to assess the damage.They simply denied the claim again and again. They never even bothered to come and look before denying the claim. This was a one-time break in a line with extensive water damage - not a slow leak.They deny claims without even assessing the situation.Never, ever, will I use this company again.We paid our premiums faithfully for years - and this is what we get - denial - without even assessing the situation.Liberty Mutual Group

Do not do business with ******. Worse company I have ever seen. Can not cancel policy. Paid for a year. Tried to cancel. Endless loop of automated responses. Finally got a live person. The only thing their staff can do is transfer you to automated system or take payment. Very poorly trained staff. The main office can not contact their agents. The only thing they can do is transfer you to leave messages. This company is a zero rating Customer beware. This is a scam **********************.Liberty Mutual Group

I would not give Liberty Mutual a rating higher than half a star. Heres why:I have been a customer for 20 years, paying thousands each year for home and auto. I never filed a claim and always paid my premiums ontime. In the past few years, as premiums rose in cost, I asked about any additional discounts and was always told that I had all of the discounts that could be applied. During the last quarter of 2024, I decided to shop for other options. I found several lower cost options and after speaking with another well known carrier, decided to switch. I have significantly improved home coverage and am saving more than $1000.00/year for home and auto. I called an agent in December and politely requested a cancellation of my policies for 2025. I opted to keep the auto coverage for 1 day, January 1, just to make sure that there were no gaps in coverage. I understood clearly that there would be a $17 charge for that ****** refund for 6 months payment in advance arrived within a few weeks. So did a separate letter with the following sentence:Please pay the full amount immediately to prevent the balance from being sent to collections and reported to a credit bureau on 2/3/2025.This was for a $17 bill that was not late and I had agreed to pay for that single day of coverage. Thousands paid over 20 years, always on time, and I get this letter? I am outraged. I will be sharing this incredibly shoddy experience with others.Liberty Mutual Group

Look at how you are treating long term customers. I found plenty of others commenting online about the same experience with **. Your reputation as a company is deteriorating significantly. I will be clear about my experience with others when the topic arises. There is nothing more to do for me as I have switched insurance carriers. Liberty Mutual Insurance is representing a client *********. A ********* Technician while installing a new internet system drilled a ~1/2 hole through an interior bedroom floor 18 from wall. Even though Liberty Mutual is ********* insurance provider they have rejected paying for fixing the damage. Liberty Mutual spends so many dollars in ads they are horrible about paying for a real problem. Stay away from Liberty Mutual Insurance.Liberty Mutual Group
