On 18th November 2023, I submitted a defective claim to Converse in relation to my Order ********* placed on 27 August 2023. They replied the same day and provided me the Defective Claim No, namely ********. They asked me to email them details of the defect and to provide a picture as well as my contact details. I did so and re-sent my email on 18 December as I was told it had not been received, maybe because the image file was too large. I informed them that I had not received any email requesting me to re-send and that their initial email made no specifications as to how the picture needed to be. My complaint is that the zipper on the right shoe had broken when my husband was simply walking and that there must have a defect in the shoe. Since I re- sent the email on 18 December 2023, I have not received any further emails from Converse. I have called their **************** at least twice but I was also informed by their **************** that they do not deal with defective claims and they could not provide me with a contact no for the department dealing with defective claims. Few days ago, I chatted online with one of the Converse Agents to complain about the service and non response to my claim. Again I was told to wait and again the Agent could not provide me with the contact no for the Converse ****************** I was told by the agent, one ARTI T, that she would feedback to the higher authorities within Converse about my unhappiness as to how my claim is being handled. Converse has been totally unprofessional: not informed how long the process would take, no number given for their claims department. I am simply expected to wait. I want the shoes replaced or a refund of the $141.18 that I had paid.Customer Answer

For Converse shoes online order *********, I submitted a return of one pair of shoes. I shipped back the shoes using *** provided by Converse. The tracking shows it delivered to Converse on 12/19. According to Converse return processing time posted on their website it takes 3 business days to process. Until 24/1/5, I received nothing(no usual return processed email, no refund), so I asked customer service. The agent just post robotic answers and let me wait more days. This business is a whole scam. I request an immediate refund of $37.5+tax ** as a customer I did my part: shipped back item, waited 12 business days, but the company is always reflecting refund.Initial Complaint

On 01/03/2024 I visited the Converse site. I was immediately greeted with a pop up advertising a promotional discount. After entering the required info twice I was repeatedly given a technical issues error message. I combed through the fine print and discovered that said discount had expired on 12/31/2023. It is unethical to advertise a discount that is presently expired. As a small business owner myself I feel the only ethical thing to do is to honor all advertised discounts as it is no fault of the customer and solely the companys responsibility to maintain an up to date site. I feel this is borderline false advertisement. I will not be purchasing any Converse products without some form of retribution. While this might seem a ***** battle, I feel it is no longer acceptable for consumers to be deceived or left to shoulder the burden caused by Corporates inability to allocate proper funds to adequately manage all aspects of the company.Customer Answer

In Spet. 2023 I ordered a pair of custom Converse shoes online from converse.com. In Nov. I realized the shoes were coming unglued in several locations. I got on converse.com and started a warranty claim. They sent an email requesting additional information to which I responded on 12/12/23. Never heard anything after that. I tried calling the number in their claim email the week before Christmas, no one ever answered. I thought it was maybe because it was the week before Christmas and a busy time for them. Called yesterday (12/27/23) remained on hold for over 30min with no answer. Tried their online chat feature today (12/28/23), for it to tell me there were no agents online to assist me. Called again today, was on hold over 45min before someone finally answered. They saw my claim and the fact that I had emailed them several times to get an update, only to be told they will get to my claim when they get to my claim. They have no timeline in place to have to respond to claims or determine an answer to claims.Customer Answer

Order ********* was placed on October 22 and I paid for two pairs of sneakers. I was then charged for different amounts of money. I had to connect with customer service three times to resolve. I then only received one pair of sneakers but still was charged for both pairs. They are telling me the second pair was finally delivered yesterday, but it was not. I want my money back from this company for the second pair of shoes that I did not receive. $52.50 / $42.00 - two pairs of shoes .. only one pair received for $42. On 12/21/2023 while searching for Converse *********************** All Star white high top shoes I come across the attached Converse listing where the code "GIFTS" supposedly can be used "SiteWide" based on the Ad, therefore I attempt to checkout and am presented with "Your cart is not currently elgible for promo code GIFTS. This is flat out false advertising, because IT IS NOT SITEWIDE AS ADVERTISED! I'm asking that Converse do the right thing and back up what they advertise instead of typical bait and Switch tactics!Initial Complaint

I received an email on the morning of December 20th, 2023 saying that an order of $162.38 was placed on Converse.com but I did not place an order. I checked my account on Converse.com and saw that a fraudulent order had been placed and an address had been added to my account. At 6:00am on December 20th, I chatted with customer service and asked to cancel the order as it was fraudulent. I think received an email 5 hours later stating they were unable to cancel my order so I called customer service. The representative I spoke with stated that order was already in process and so they were unable to cancel, but that I could wait until they arrive and return the shoes in order to get the refund. I then asked to speak to a supervisor who told me the same thing. I want my money refunded and the order cancelled, as it has not shipped but she stated this was impossible. So I now have to wait over a week for shoes I did not purchase to show up, return them and then wait more than another week to receive a refund. It is the holidays and money is tight. It is unacceptable that there is no accountability from a large company to protect their customers from hacking and fraud. I will NEVER order from this website again.Initial Complaint

Back on Oct 6th 2023 I purchased a pair of converse at $72, they didn't fit so I returned them and purchased another size. I received $27 due to item going on sale, however, I still have not received the $43.75 they still owe me. They said it was refunded but I NEVER RECEIVED IT!Customer Answer

I returned an order on December 5, 2023. Converse has been in possession of the returned order since December 8, 2023. I have called three times inquiring about when I will receive my refund. I was told up to 3 business days from receipt of the item. Today is December 13, 2023, or business day 4. Absolutely no sign of a refund issued (no, I am not counting how long it takes to post to my method of payment).Customer Answer

Converse did not reach out to me at any point. I called them once a day every day to inquire about my refund until I finally got a representative who processed it. It took seconds. All of the others simply gave me a canned spiel about how they "typically" process refunds in a timely manner but it is the holidays. Indeed it is, and it would be nice if the company could have adequately staff to meet demand instead of losing long-time customers by offering scripted apologies instead of actual customer service. How difficult and time-consuming is it to process a refund? Not very, and yet, it took three times as long as it should have.
