      On 4/29/25 I called ***** *****, owner at Bristol Ace Hardware and informed him that I bought Ace wild birdseed at his business, and there were moths in the birdseed bag and now I have a moth infestation in my home. ***** was very rude on the phone and said he has been ordering so many pallets of these 20 lb wild birdseed bags for 19 yrs and there hasnt ever been a complaint of a moth problem. He spoke to me in a tone that implied I was lying. I told him not to speak to me in that tone. I told him I called Reliable Pest Control to go to my home to get rid of the moth infestation. I told him I wanted my money back and would return the birdseed. ***** never asked about the cost of the Pest Control. He questioned whether the birdseed caused the problem. I reminded him that I witnessed the moth webbing and moths in the bag when I was pouring it into the birdseed bucket. I put the *************************** my car and delivered it to Ace Hardware with my receipts for the 2 bags. The cashier said I bought this birdseed in 1/25 and she reimbursed me for one bag of birdseed, but not for the bag w/moths from 8/24. Reliable Pest Control treated the moth infestation on 4/30/25 at a cost of $185. I told the technician that when I open the bag of birdseed from Bristol Ace Hardware, it had webbing in it, and there were moths flying around.. Despite me keeping that ****** closed and bringing it outside the problem grew. The technician said that birdseed can attract moths thus causing the moth infestation. He said that the birdseed probably had been sitting in the warehouse for who knows how long ? I had to empty all kitchen cabinets of food, pots, pans and dishes. After treatment, I had to wait two days, vacuum my kitchen cabinets before I could put everything back. Washed dishes, pots and pans and replaced all food that I had to throw away that were in cardboard boxes or plastic bags. I need ACE to reimburse me for $185 for the moth infestation due to old birdseed.

      I have not heard from this business in response to my complaint, that was filed with BBB on 6/12/2025. I am very disappointed that GE Supply LLC, obviously the parent company of Bristol Ace Hardware in Bristol ************, does not have business ethics, morals nor decency to recognize that the wild birdseed that I bought from Bristol Ace Hardware had been sitting in their warehouse for months per the managers disclosure to me when I went to see him about this issue that created a moth infestation in my home which cost me $185 to have Reliable Pest Control of Bristol ************ to come to my home to treat the moth infestation. Of note, I specifically told the manager that there was webbing and moths in the bag of birdseed. My mistake was not taking it back to the store immediately nor taking photos of this mess. It caused me a great deal of aggravation, time and inconvenience to follow up with Reliable Pest Control as I had to remove everything from the cupboards to allow them to spray the treatment in my cupboards. They followed up three weeks later to see the status, and there were still moths being attracted to the traps.  That still exist as of this date as Im writing about this lack of empathy/response from GE Supply LLC. Ive been doing business with Ace Bristol Ace Hardware for the past 4 1/2 years and I made a decision on the day I addressed this matter with the manager of Bristol Ace Hardware in 4/2025, I would never go in that store again nor any Ace Hardware and purchase anything I need for gardening and the lawn. There are plenty of other options. I get better treatment and respect from the big box stores.  Whenever I can tell somebody about this experience that happened to me I make sure that I tell them so that they avoid these problems with Bristol Ace Hardware. They do not care about the customers and Disgusting Im a perfect example of that situation. I am a licensed clinical social worker so and this lack of concern and response to my complaint and choosing to ignore the problem, disgusts me.

      *** (store manager as she introduced herself) , keeps calling and harrassing, threatening me. Im the owner of a landscaping company and spent thousands of dollars at Ace Hardware. I bought a wheel ****** yesterday, specifically asked for the large one. I got a call hours later from the store asking me to come in and pay extra because they charged me for the wrong wheel ******. I offered to pay over the phone and they said they dont take payments over the phone. When I told them I dont know when I can get back to the store they started threatening me to take it to the police and harassing me over the phone. By no means this was my fault that they charged me wrong. Im a business owner and have jobs to do and cant go back to the store that fast just because they made an error. I also think ***y was racial profiling as she wouldnt take my card over the phone. I have a receipt to show for this and shouldnt be getting harassed and threatened. This is the worst store experience Ive ever received and will never shop there again. ***y needs to apologize to me for this horrible experience as Im a loyal rewards member customer.
