  TERRIBLE ***************** I ordered online and wanted to cancel the order. The online chat option was not helpful. I reached out to have my order canceled and the customer service rep advised my order would cancel if the item was not available. And I would not be charged. I have already been charged and want to cancel the order and a refund. I have called the customer care number 3 times this morning, each call I waited on hold for aprox. 30 minutes and then the line disconnected each time. I have yet to have my issues resolved. At this point it is not even about my refund or cancel but about the lack of professionalism and customer care of this company. I will NEVER order again from Talbots.

  I have clothes from Talbots that are over 20 years old that look much better than the new items available. I would be happy to pay $70 for one of their Tee shirts of the quality they sold in the past. Now the fabrics are about as good as griege goods as they have not been properly finished at the mill. They have no stain resistant or wrinkle resistant finishes applied. You may as well shop at ********

  Dear All,I have been a loyal customer for many years. However, recently I have been having issues with the business. The problem is that the company's website sells some items that are not actually available. I ordered a particular shirt twice (two weeks apart). The first time the order was cancelled after 10 days (the shirt was still listed as available). Another order was placed and cancelled a week later. As of today, the shirt is still listed as available. I got in touch with customer service via email and received no answer. I posted a question on the website regarding the status of the item and two days later the question was deleted. The company's motto "It really is all about you. Let us know how we can help." is a thing of the past. They simply ignore us, those who support them with their money.It's used to be reputable company but not anymore.

  This past week I went in to the talbots at the summit in birmingham and purchased a tee shirt and house slippers. I had a $20.00 off coupon that was sent to me in the mail and I wanted to use it. I purchased the shirt and slippers and left. Due to my physical infirmities I did not try on in the store. I went home and tried the shirt on and it was too small. I returned the shirt the next day and found another but it was a 100% cotton tee and did not have the spandex in it(which does not fit well for me). I was told that since I did not buy the exact same shirt my $20.00 did not count and I So I lost the $20.00. I refused to buy the new shirt and left. What a scam and I will no longer shop at Talbots. For years I have purchased so many clothing items (look it up) and have been a good customer. I will no longer set my foot in your store again and will discourage my friends from patronizing Talbots. Ba. it and switch scams like this cost Talbots business. I am awarding one star because I must have one for this review to qualify. I'm so angry with your tactics. Good bye to Talbots. I plan to bring this up at the next church meeting because many of the women are in the age group you appeal to. I hope that it will affect your money bottom line. Your tactics all come down to greed. People need to be aware of your bait and switch tactics and dishonestly of your store. Shame on you for doing little things to profit off middle aged women who are your biggest consumers. So little respect for your customers because you think we are stupid and won't catch on your little ways to ***** customers.

  Goods - overall talbots has been providing quality of clothing for women over 40s, though price is on the higher range. And it is one of few places you can still find cotton fabrics in this everything-dispensable world. Unfortunately, like **************** *******************..., it is on the declining slope. Business - Talbots likes to play roller coaster games on pricing, which is unacceptable. For example, I found something fit me pretty good and I placed them in the shopping cart (online) and it was 70% final sale. Good deal, right? I placed the order and took the risk that I wont be able to return if they dont fit. 2 days later I received an email saying that they were out of stock. I went back online the same day and hoped to find something similar. Guess what, the "out of stock" items are miraculously back online. But the sale is not 70%. Instead it is 25% or 30% sale. The similar situation happened several times before. Hope the business Corp realizes the frustration of customers and makes some changes.
