They broke the grease trap for my restaurant, and have been doing everything to get out of fixing it, including bullying and harrassment by their employees. ************************* is the rep, and they didn't even have the name of the tech that showed up hours late, was taking selfies of his private parts while supposedly working, and messing around on his phone. Trap sould have taken about a minute to clean, but he was standing there for more than 30 minutes. Took pieces out, said he was replacing them, and I still even have pieces on the floor. Also left his tools behind. I had to late open because he spilled so much on the floor that my place stank for the rest of the day.

Horrible company and rude customer ********************** branch manager, ******. Our septic had become non functional and we decided to connect to City Sewer. We called to pump out septic one last time. The technician came and said if they pump the septic now and if it rain, the septic will fill with mud again because the Septick didn't had the lid, I said that is fine because we were connecting to city sewer anyways and septic was going to be demolish. They did NOT DO anything and still charged me $208 for telling me the septic system needs replacement. When I called, they said, it is their standard service call charge. They did not mentioned it initially during the initial call and it is NO where mentioned on their website. Their rude branch manager, ****** said "oh well, we don't have it mentioned anywhere but we still charge it. And if the balance is not paid, they will send it to collection". After reading so many negative reviews here, it seems they purposely do not mention service charge. Shame on you for bad business practice. For such a big company, under the leadership of ************** and ******************, they should be upfront with their pricing model.

In 2020, Wind River checked our tank and found the water level was down to 1 above the floor. They then charged us $2,465 to hydraulically clean our septic tank and repair a crack. Upon subsequent inspection a few weeks later, when the tank should have been full, Wind River said the repair was unsuccessful and we needed a new tank. When I called to schedule a replacement, they did not follow up, which turned out to be good luck for us. We went with a leaking tank until this year, when we contracted with a much smaller, local company. The first thing they checked was whether a hole in the side wall, 1 above the floor, was plugged with a cork. Missing corks are a known issue. When the tanks are cast and sit outside to cure, they put a ~1 hole in for rainwater to drain out. The installer is supposed to put a cork in the hole after it is put in place. That was exactly what the problem was: water was pouring out of the 1 hole. Careful inspection found no evidence of a crack that could explain the leak, or any repair of a crack. The only previous repair was around the outlet pipe, unrelated to the cause of the leak. Wind River didnt bring up the cork issue, didnt see a hole with a missing cork, and said they repaired a crack in the tank, where subsequent inspection found no such repair. Wind Rivers reports on their customer portal did not describe the details of the crack and the repair, such as the actual location, length, and width of the crack before repair. The photos they provide do not show the crack or the repair. Instead, there are photos of the grass over our ***** field, our driveway, the sign in front of our town hall, the ground over the access port before digging, the technicians boot on the floor of his truck, and many entirely black screens. What a contrast between Wind River, a dishonest, unprofessional large company, and an honest, knowledgeable local septic company that finally fixed our problem.

I called ************ to schedule plumbing repairs and was told it was between 75 & 80 dollars to evaluate the problem. I explained needed repair to my kitchen disposal, bathroom sink drain and toilet that I turned the water off because the water would not stop running. I was not told of any additional charges. The ******* arrived at my home yesterday and was able to get the disposal working, fixed the toilet and repaired the sink drain. He then wrote up the bill and told me the company charges $250 an hour for labor and an additional $50 for fuel charges. I was not told of either of these by the clerk who scheduled the appointment or the repairman until after he finished the work! I should have been told of these charges when the appointment was scheduled. This is a ripoff and I am very upset. I live in Northwest St John's County not a long distance away.

      Good Afternoon,

We reviewed all phone calls from initial booking call on 3/4/2024 at 10:40am to the final call on 3/6/2024 at 4:30pm. During the booking call and subsequent calls no discussion of price took place, we are reviewing with the intial agent for coaching. There was no mention of $75-80 charge, or any value for evaluation fee, during the ordering process. We apologize for any confusion and would like to offer a credit of $50 that will be applied to the card on file. Thank you for the complimentary comments regarding ************** who performed the work. We appreciate your business.

This company scams and steals. Do not let them work on your septic unsupervised, or at all really. Their warranty is a joke and what a coincidence that when they came to work on my pump, the pipe which is supposed to last 10 years but was only installed 3 years earlier "broke". That ended up costing me almost a grand more, my question is how did it break? Shady business.

Very dishonest company. Called to book a septic pumping and wanted a guaranteed date. We needed our septic system pumped because the sediment tank was full. I received a text the day of the appointement that their arrival would be delayed. The text never said anything about the *********** being moved from the 11th to the 15th of the month. Called at 4:00 PM and the lady ***** said they moved my *********** because they had emergency jobs which I found out payed more to the pumping company.I said I need the job done today as scheduled and she said that I was past time getting emergency service. I said I was guaranteed that it would be today the 11th and she had me hold on. She then created an emergency *********** for the 11th. Then she turned around and said it is going to cost me and extra $247.75 that would be in addition to the $350 for the pumping. I complained and she said she would put in the ticket to have the emergency fee of $247.75 refunded to my account. That night they were again a no show. Called on the 12th and told the agent that they were a no show. He said they put my work request at a high priority but it would still be Monday and the $247.75 and the $350 even though that was a date they said they pushed it to for normal service. I said if you had a doctor *********** booked would you want the doctor rescheduling when you need to be seen? No I cancelled the ***********, had them remove the credit card information and delete the account. The agent said dispatch would be calling me back, which I do not see them saying anything but more lies. The company is Wind River Environmental and they have many sub companies below them. The company that would have been doing the septic pumping would be 1st Choice Service, ***********, ** or ******* Environmental Services, *******, ** which according to the BBB are out of business but still operating under Wind River Environmental.Very decptive business practices. Beware.

I had an unfortunate experience with Wind River Environmental when I needed an emergency septic pump service. Upon receiving the bill, I was surprised to see a $200 charge for services rendered After 2PM.My initial request for service was directed to an unavailable staff member, which resulted in a delay of almost 48 hours before my issue was addressed. This not only led to a larger mess but also resulted in me being charged for the delayed response time.Furthermore, the repair technician informed me that the floats in the hatch were improperly set, necessitating their relocation for the pump to operate correctly. This indicates that the pump, which was replaced by Wind River Environmental earlier this year at a cost of $1868.00, was not installed correctly. This has resulted in an additional bill of $684.91.Over the past year, I feel that I have incurred more expenses on my septic system than should have been necessary. It seems that some of these costs could have been avoided with more careful oversight. Something I put my good faith in Wind River Environmental, which I am now having second thoughts over...

We had used them for years with no complaints. This year, the technician knocked down a telephone wire, coiled it into a pile in my driveway, and drove away. He didn't attempt to contact me in any way to let me know what had happened, and he didn't even start the service that I had scheduled. Had I not been home to see the events transpire, my wife or I could have easily driven over the wire and pulled down electrical wires. I called the company multiple times - it has been two weeks and I have not heard a peep. ZERO ACCOUNTABILITY. Do not use them - they will not take any responsibility for property damage!

******** from ************** did a great job pumping out my septic holding tank today! He was very personable, efficient and answered all my questions. Since it's been a long time since it was last pumped, he had to do a couple back flushes to loosen things up. But in the end he said it cleaned out well. He recovered the tank with dirt, picked up all his equipment and even shut the gate behind him when he left! Based on his service, I would recommend Wind River Environmental to others.
