I have a **** account at ********************** that has a zero balance for years. I received a letter stating they were going to close the account if I did not use it within a certain period of time. I called to let them know I did not have the card I may have destroyed the card because it expired . I called the credit card company to let them know I would like to replace the card . The woman I spoke with filed a lost card and said they would send a replacement.. I never received the replacement card. They sent me a bill with a replacement fee of 15 dollars. I called the credit card company a 2nd time to let them now I did not receive the card. She filed another lost card report and assured another card would be issued. It never arrived. The credit card company sent another bill with late fees assessed. the credit card issuer informed me that I would have to call member services at the credit union. the credit union employee informed me that I could not be found in their system. the bottom line is Southcoast FCU reported the account delinquent which impacted my credit scare and my husband's credit score. My score went from 730sto 680 and my husband's 830 to 730. I have mailed ***** dollars which includes late fees for replacement cards that were not replaced. More importantly the cards are somewhere.

      Business Response

      Date: 07/31/2024

While we do not respond directly to our member complaints on a ******** such as this, I will note that our policy is to review the issue and address directly to the member.  If fees etc. were found to be erroneous, the credit union re-imburses them; if credit facilities are involved, we update **** situations at the local site and then update through the **oscar ******** directly to each bureau.  Changes to these ********s typically take on cycle and our normal reporting period, barring holidays/weekends is on or about the 6th of each month.

This action having been initiated in the month of July, would see these rectifications take place sometime between the initiation date and the reporting date of the cycle.

This is exactly the process that is being followed in this particular case.
