I have never been more disappointed with a vet before in my life. We were noticing some issues with our cat and had her seen here. *************************** was the one who saw our cat and determined she needed 2 teeth pulled. Their dental machine was down but we were assured that as soon as this machine was fixed they would contact us to schedule our cats surgery ASAP. Our cats mouth was not closing making it extremely difficult for her to eat and drink. (They never offered a hydration bubble or even give us instructions on hand feeding). They then went a head and scheduled our cats surgery for 7/14- didn't contact us, just scheduled it. I then called to ask them what the text message appointment reminder was. They told me it was for the surgery but they were going to cancel another surgery so we can be bumped up since our cats surgery was life critical (she was dehydrated and had elevated kidney levels). We had called them multiple times and begged for them to bump up the surgery or refer us to another facility that can get us in sooner as we had notice a decline in our cat. The front desk messaged ****************** and advised her of the condition our cat was in and asked for approval for another doctor at the facility to do the surgery so we could get in sooner. She apparently declined this. The lady on the phone with us then gave us the name of a place that might be able to assist. We called 12.. TWELVE different facilities until we finally found an emergency vet to do the emergency surgery the next day. Unfortunately our cat passed away that night, that's how critical she was and ****************** couldn't have been bothered to take us seriously. Our cat died due to her negligence, please stay away.

Dr. ****** ***** and her staff (especially ***nifer who took my initial call) were wonderful! ********, our 10 year old, part Bengal cat, was stricken recently with something causing him considerable pain and limited mobility. It was clear that it was serious and we needed to take him to see a vet as soon as possible. We live in Mayville, NY. However, the weather made thinking of driving him to either Buffalo or Erie for emergency care out of the question. wife mforted him through the night the best she could, and in the morning I got on the phone to locate a vet. I started calling every vet (more than 20) in a radius of 50 miles, including every vet in Erie. By now it was getting to be early afternoon, none offered any help other than a few suggested the night emergency service in Erie or Buffalo. I was about to give up and wait for the Erie night emergency service and probably a long wait once I got there. The very last call was Wintergreen. I got *** on the line, explained what was going on, and she said "Wait a moment please." She came back on and said, "well come on, the vet can see you." ***** was assisting Dr. *****. Both were extremely kind, showing more genuine kindness than I've ever experienced at a vets. It turned out that ******** seemed to have developed a blood clot in the bowel area, along with cardiac problems that even with surgery, he probably would have not made it. My wife had said before I left, that euthanasia might be the outcome. She was right (almost always is...), and Dr. ***** and ***** administered the lethal drugs with compassion. I can't thank Wintergreen enough for the compassion (and competence) they showed with ********, but also with me. From now on, I hope to make Wintergreen our new, and regular vet (the drive will be more than worth it!). Oh, and we also got a touching sympathy card from the staff at Wintergreen yesterday. I'm beginning to think that "above and beyond" might just be the normal there.
