    I worked as a designer at Seacoast Cabinets for a year and a half. While working there I prepaid for some cabinets that I never ordered. The check was for $13,580 and was cashed July 22nd. I resigned on Oct 3rd and informed ***** *******, the owner, that I would need that money back as I was no longer going to need those cabinets. He agreed. I told him I was willing to receive payments over the next 3 months. He agreed. I owed him some money from extra add ons to a kitchen I had just completed and would deduct that amount from the original payment for bookcase cabinets. So the new total he needed to reimburse me for was $11,201.66. On Oct 17th I wrote him an email saying that I needed to move my last day working at the company to Oct 25th, and stated this in writing. He responded, "Got it. Sounds good. Thanks". My last day we spoke about the reimbursement and he assured me he would return my money. I have not received a dime. Dec 2nd I emailed again about not receiving any payment. He responded on Dec 6th that he would be sending me a check between $2,500 and $5,000 the week of Dec 9th. On Dec 20th at 11:00AM I texted him to inform him that I had not received anything in the mail and asked nicely when I would be getting a check. he did not respond. On Dec 21st at 12:35PM I sent another text saying I was starting to feel like he was purposely avoiding me and now I was doubting his integrity with the lack of any payment and lack of communication from him. His response was immediate at 12:45pm, "I don't really f****** care what you think of me ... Considering I had been more than patient and tried to work with him on repayment over time I was naturally angered by his response. I then texted him back at 8PM after I had some time to digest it all that his choice to stonewall me and use vulgarities had exhausted my patience and told him I wanted the full $11,201.66 paid in full or I would contact the BBB and police. I still have not received any $ .

    I have not heard from the business in response to my complaint. Not a word of communication since his last "f" you text. I was visiting a shop next door and stopped into the showroom today (texting my friend beforehand to ask if he was there - he wasn't there) They say that they are slammed with work - so apparently money is coming in. But clearly he does not want to repay me with any of those profits.
