Little to no communication during my two and a half year disability claim. A total waste of time. I would go months and not hear a thing. Finally, after contacting my district rep, he got it pushed through. Now they phone daily in attemp to get money back to ****************** ************* they do nothing! Find an attorney or state representative to assist you and don't get within 10 feet of these frauds!

****************** - We are disheartened to learn that you are dissatisfied with our services. In a review of your record, we see that we were able to process and get your claim awarded in under two years and, during that time, made multiple attempts to contact you for updates. You were unresponsive to those efforts. We are now in the stage of processing the final pieces of your claim and it is time to reimburse your carrier for the funds they paid you while you were applying. We have reached out to your only once to discuss this matter, but we will need to follow up, as this is a critical obligation as part of your policy. Thank you in advance for understanding.

I am shocked that Brown and Brown is taking credit for getting my benefits. I am confident that you had nothing to do with it. I finally reached out to my state representative and provided THEM with the necessary documentation, including letters from my doctors. I am at late stage advanced heart failure and nothing you did could get me benefits. Finally, I took my fight elsewhere and received help. You can't take credit for what you did not do! As far as contacting me, I have one e-mail and three phone messages from ****** including one time when I actually spoke to someone. All of these took place in the last week. I am not sure where you get that you contacted me one time, but that is not true. When I was calling you to get updates on my claim, your response was always "no new developments". I called multiple times and was given the same answer. I think you should take a closer look at your records. Now, you are repeatedly contacting me for my lump sum payment from Social Security, but you are requesting $3000.00 MORE than I received from them. I would definitely warn anyone about Brown and Brown AND ****************** The help and assistance I received was much less than I was promised.

The ****************** offered Brown and browns services to me and claimed they would pay for their services. They contacted me on a recorded line and I asked them not to record my calls.I had my advisor tell me they were dropping my case and they notified social security I was unavailable. I have been told it was because I didn't want to be recorded. Looking at the contract, it clearly has multiple options for contact and says if I decide not to use 1 of the agreed to methods of contact it wouldn't have a bearing on my representation. Looking at the response from Brown and brown in another complaint dated 2/21/2022 they list multiple methods allowed as acceptable contact. I have been dropped because they only allow 1 method. They broke the contract and make misleading claims. They told me they wait till 2 weeks prior to your hearing to do their job and or hire a local lawyer to represent you. I recorded all calls and advise anyone working with them to do the same. When I pointed out the contract issue their management changed their tune as I pointed out the fact that they wrongfully dropped my case.

I was represented by them for a year and I had already filed for Social Security and my appeal by myself. Neither them or Social Security acted like they could get my medical records from the VA. Since hiring my own attorney a little over a month ago I have heard more from Brown and Brown and Social Security than I have in the past year.

**************** - We are sorry to lose you as a client and apologize that you did not have a good experience with our company. Our records show that, since we began representing you, we've been in regular contact with both you, as well as the ********************** handling the claim. In fact, just a month ago we had a detailed and lengthy conversation with the *** Disability Examiner to ensure they had all proper medical records. We understand you prefer to work with a new representative, so we are closing your record in our files. Best of luck in pursuit of your benefits.

Brown and Brown are rip off artists. Met Life said they were free of charge to advocate for us to get SS when we went on long term disability. So not only did they do nothing during the entire SS approval process (we represented ourselves with the drs and got all the paperwork faxed over). After my wife started collecting her SS through OUR hard work. Brown and Brown comes in and says oh you owe 1 thousand plus dollars. They want fee money for doing nothing. SS never had them on file as advocates and we did all the work. They are a scam company that didn't represent us at all but want our hard earned money for doing nothing. I am calling SS and telling them not to pay them a dime and wondering why on earth Met Life's representatives told us they were a free advocacy service. All in all very bad experience with scam Brown and Brown. They want money for doing nothing on top of us being told their advocacy service was free.

****************** - We are disappointed to hear that you were unhappy with our services. We acknowledge that our ability to assist on your claim was limited, as Social Security backlogs resulted in several delays with filing your representation forms. This filing puts us on record as your representative and without it, we are not permitted to take certain actions. You may have seen in the news that Social Security is vastly understaffed right now, causing unfortunate situations like this. Ultimately, we were able to file and assist you in finalizing your claim and getting an award. While we did take a fee for this service, we ensured that we worked with Met Life to credit that fee to your overpayment responsibilities. This step meant that you are required to reimburse Met Life, *less* our fee. We took this extra step so that we were handling your case as fairly and equitably as possible due to the difficulty filing your initial forms, not because we were required to do so. We appreciate that you are not satisfied with our services, but we feel very confident in the decisions we made and our attempt to treat your situation with respect and fairness.

My experience using *********************************************** was an extreme disappointment. I waisted two years of my life trusting in them to use their expertise in ss/disability law in order to advocate for me. I have since obtained new council and that is when I realized exactly how poorly I was represented. I had a hearing and the only communication I received from my attorney was a brief phone call before telling me she new absolutely nothing about my disease and could I tell her about it. She introduced herself at the hearing and then turned it over to me. She barely spoke and presented nothing on my behalf. They never talked to me about or even made me aware of *** forms that were vitally important to my case. They didnt help with/supply medical records etc they told me that was my responsibility and I had no idea what was even going on. I am in and out of the hospital fighting this. Little to no communication other than an occasional call to ask if I had any Dr ***** or new illnesses. The only communication between them and ssdi they shared with me was the letter saying they represented me, and a questionnaire they required me to fill out. They never took any initiative getting information, telling me what was vitally important, relaying or confirming what SS was even looking at or basing their decision on. I felt totally alone. I have been receiving disability from MetLife for almost 3 years (I did that on my own, no attorney) I hope this never happens to anyone else in a vulnerable situation dealing with a devastating illness.
