      I have held a vehicle insurance policy with ***************** through HUB international since February 2024. It was renewed this February 2025 to be valid until February 2026, BOTH years were paid in full. Last week, my car was broken into during the night. When I called to talk to insurance, they claim I did not have the correct coverage to fix it, which I was under the impression I did since my car was recently stolen the year before and wanted to ensure I was covered when I bought my policy. After speaking with multiple representatives, it is then figured out that the agent who gave me my policy did not include that coverage that is needed by law since my car is financed. They then come back to tell me they will cover the car but they will backdate my policy back to 2024. I fought it, and was told they wouldnt do 2024 and only charge for this year, giving me an estimate of $928 or $77/month. Even though I have paid the year in full. I get an email later Friday, no call or anything, stating the underwriter wont leave 2024 alone because it is the law. I woke up Saturday morning to a ***** addition on my policy. All anyone keeps telling me is there is nothing they can do, but I dont feel it is right for them to make me fully financially responsible for their agents mistake. Im not asking to get free coverage, I already told them I am happy to pay for 2025 but what they are doing is just not right.

      Our business reached out to Hub International to get quotes for our upcoming trucking business insurance renewal. ************************* is the representative that I dealt with. I stated clearly that we currently pay milage based insurance at $17/ per 100 miles included all coverages. We keep all our equipment covered regardless if running or not and my invoice is made monthly, miles times 17 divided by 100, thats the amount I pay, period! That includes all insurance needed Physical damage, Cargo, Liability , General Liability.. all of it! I asked if he can get more competitive quote for next year, including EVERYTHING and NO MINIMUMS! Few days latter he called back saying he got $15/ per 100 miles but they will have to get access to our Samsara. After few clarification at the end of September we signed the binding documents. Two months pass by.. and my first October invoice came on December 2nd and surprise!!! Liability was calculated, per 100 miles at $15, but there is extra charges for Physical damage, Cargo and General Liability that were billed on top of the $15 per 100 miles rate! If I had stayed with my previous provider I was going to pay about $8700 for the month, HUB invoice is at $12.212.98. I alerted immediately that this is not what we agreed on and on the contract clearly says Monthly and Annually Minimums are 0%. Now there's 3 invoices that they want to charge on us at their rate and are holding on over $30K downpayment plus trying to collect over $15k..Also, ****** policy downpayment was supposed to be spread throughout the first few payments, but of course at binding we had to pay the whole 30K in cash due to his misguidance!**** and Hub International are one big WASTE OF TIME in this fast phased industry, where insurance agent should be your go to person! Definitely not worth our or anyone else's time! After all, **** stated in on of his email- (quotation) "Perhaps I could have been more clear when explaining how the rate was made up." - No joke!
