I called same day service on Monday 8/29 AM regarding my ice maker which had stopped making ice. The service technician **** responded by early afternoon. He identified the problem and ordered a new part. **** informed me it would a couple of days. I was notified on Wednesday that my part was in and the technician would be there Thursday morning. **** arrived bt 8:15 AM and was completed by 8:30 AM. I really appreciated their quick response to my call and how quick the repair was completed. I appreciate Same Day Service attention to safety during the covid situation. I called Same Day Service for top loading washer that stopped working this morning. The repairman came within a couple of hours. He was upfront with explaining the charges for the repairsreplaced the motor and pump...He was very nice and professional. After he completed the work, he put my wet towels in the spinning cycle to reassure me that everything was working properly. I thank him and the company. I am a repeat customer. I called on Sunday leaving model and serial # for freezer repair. They returned call on Monday clarifying terms and charges and I noted that I wanted the removed parts. They came as planned on Wed assessing timer and bimetal switch stating that they had no idea what my model was or serial number and stated that they never receive any information on the unit before they go to a call. I noted that I wanted parts that were removed. I defrosted unit overnight and they called stating they had parts and could come the next Wed. I noted that I wanted the removed parts. They came while only my wife was home and only left the bimetal switch letting my wife take pics of the control board and switch noting in a voice msg to me that they don't know but believe that there is a core charge on the board so if I want it it will be another $ 100 or something fee?? Four online Genuine OEM sellers have no core charge for this Defrost Timer Part #******* which is replaced by #WP230409. part. Their site has no place for feedback and their email to me is a no-reply. I just don't understand why the info on my unit was not shared with the tech before he came. He noted that these bimetal switches and timers are always the same issue for the problem i described. I don't understand why their Work Order sheet notes specifically that all parts removed will be discarded unless specified. I specified up front three times. They could have told me no up front. I don't believe that the tech was honest about the core charge and I am not certain that they even changed the board as it could easily have been just the switch and they had me buy them a board for use on another customer. It is a week later with all doors closed overnight and fridge temp with an IDEAL Infrared model ****** Thermometer still reads 45F all around lower fridge when it should be more like 38F. Gave it 4 stars so it would not be deleted but not really good with the communication, written policies, actionsSame Day Service Co., Inc.

We reached out to this customer promptly as we were concerned to hear his refrigerator was still having issues and we do have guarantees with our repairs. The customer advised us at that time the refrigerator was working properly. We discussed some of his concerns and apologized for any confusion regarding the core charge for the discarded board. We offered to look into it further and a Technical Advisor attempted to reach back out to the customer several times. We were unable to reach the customer for additional discussion and have not received any return calls from the customer. We hope to hear from this customer in the future and appreciate their feedback.Review fromCatherine W

We called Same Day Service for front loading washer that stopped working. ****, the repairman came and worked and said we needed a part. A few days later he came to install new part and then found an additional part was needed. He was very nice and professional and apologetic, but we understood of course it was not his fault. **** was clear upfront about related charges. He returned today with the additional part and made the repair. We cant thank him and the company enough. I would highly recommend this company.Same Day Service Co., Inc.

This was our third time using Same-Day service and we can't recommend them enough. We have older appliances (circa ****) and they have done an exceptional job repairing them, including replacing third-party parts with factory originals from a different repair company that ultimately failed. They do things the correct way and with the right parts. They are excellent communicators, arrive on time, and provide great service at honest prices. Dryers only break on the weekends/ holidays! After getting no replies from other companies, Same Day was attentive and did a great job. Our tech was friendly and fixed the problem. The only complaint I might share is more of a suggestion for the office is to somehow keep the customer more informed as to where they might be on the list of repairs for the day; had I known he couldnt get to me until 4:30 I would have planned my day a little differently, but I also know until the tech gets to the house, he has no idea what the job will entail/ how long it would take, making it difficult to give a timeline. I could have kissed him, Im just so happy to have a dryer back!!!!!Same Day Service Co., Inc.
