  We have had Hanover Ins for both home and auto since the 1990s. Fortunately weve had only a few auto accidents. One regrettably (a few decades ago) was my fault, car totaled, summons received and was also hospitalized. Hanover was great!Two years ago we suffered a flooded basement and had to put in a claim and again the company was great. Hanover is pricey compared to many other companies but our experience has been very good and thus weve stuck with them.

  Deplorable. They will do nothing while your car sits in the shop for a month and a half while they sit on your claim ignoring it. They also lie to you. They will tell you your car is being worked on but in reality they don't send over any approvals to body shop so they can work on it. They also tell you they will give you 12 grace days with vehicle since they dropped the ball. Then take it back and now make you pay for the extra days.

  I have been with the Hanover group for years now. It is easy to file a claim but can be taxing to get a response to questions from some adjustors. It was my first time filing a home claim and the adjustor was very friendly but after the initial phone call I could never get help with any of my questions via phone or e-mail. I sat for weeks with my home in disarray from an act of nature just hoping I wouldnt do anything wrong or out of protocol because I couldnt get any answers to my questions. Once the adjustor was switched (for reasons unknown to me) I was able to get some things answered and get some help during this very troubling ordeal. Outside of this one experience I have been shocked at how awesome it has been to bundle my insurance with the Hanover Group. Now, if prices could go down Id be ecstatic??. I would & do recommend the Hanover Group.

  Have not had a claim but they are always there for my questions. A homeowner policy has 2 sections, contents and dwelling. Contents coverage what is specifically listed, dwelling/other structure...covered unless listed as "not covered"...read your policy.

  Worst company I have ever known.
  I have insured my house.
  Unfortunately, an insured event happened and I sent a claim to "Hanover".
  Firstly, they never call and report on the progress of the claim.
  In the denial of compensation they write false and fictitious information about the causes of damage, so that the reason for the refusal corresponds to the clause of the contract that allows them to refuse. When asked where such information came from, given that I did not say anything of the kind, no one from the "Hanover" came to draw up a report or assessment, and even more so, I sent an assessment of the necessary work from the landscaping company to the "Hanover", indicating the cause of the damage, representatives of "Hanover" pretend not to hear anything, or they refer to the fact that the adjuster of my claim are not in place and only he knows the answer.
  By the way, I did not manage to talk to the adjuster of the claim. I think it's a mythical person.
  I would not recommend anyone to take insurance from this company.

  Worst company ever. Was injured 3/7 and it took a week and a half to contact me for treatment. They never respond to calls or emails. When I advocated for myself to get treatments and answers, ****** tells my chiropractor I'm a huge pain in the a** Talk about unprofessional and inappropriate. Do your job and I wouldn't have to call and email constantly to get answers. Still waiting for approval of some PT sessions.I pray my employer goes with a new company. It shouldn't come down to having to get a lawyer to get results.

  And now we can add lying to this ridiculously unprofessional company. They have made zero attempt to contact me and still have not approved my physical therapy that was submitted the first part of May. A lawyer is my next step and a push to not allow them to provide any type of coverage in ********* anymore.

  I've had nothing but great experiences with Hanover. I've had to file two different claims over the last few years - one home, one auto - and in both cases, the adjusters I worked with were awesome. It didn't feel like they were trying to nickel and dime me and they really gave me the benefit of the doubt in some areas where coverage was questionable. I've heard horror stories from friends and family about having to battle insurance and I've had the exact opposite experience with Hanover - each time, they've gone out of their way to try to make me whole. Fantastic insurance company, highly recommended.
