I think the NAACP does fantastic work. However, I'm leaving a 1-star rating today because of how their membership department handles donors. After canceling my membership several years ago (because of personal financial reasons), they have continued to charge my credit card every year. Each year I contact them to correct it, and the person in the membership department calls me a liar and says that they haven't charged my card, which is patently false. Meanwhile I've had to report them to my credit card company and stop payments. Use caution when donating. Maybe donate by check to protect your future self, and get receipts.

Myself and some coworkers are being racially discriminated against at work so we decided to call the NAACP to see what resources and her assistance we can get spoke to a person there they said that they could give us an email with different resources that we can use in our this process we never received the email we called back left the email again they told us it can be take 24 to 48 hours for the email to go out we waited still no response called back spoke to an agent they looked up the complaint they went and spoke to the agent we talked to said that they were going to send the email that morning still never received any email called back they said they were going to send it again never received it gave him a different email called back then all the sudden they don't know who we are or have any information on us as if they're just blowing us off told us we can leave an email with legal and they should give us a response at some point in time I guess NAACP only helps you if you're on the news so they can get their status up if you're just a person that needs assistance they don't help you
