Had a garbage disposal and water mixer valve replaced by Len The Plumber. I researched the parts prior to calling them and knew the parts plus tax was under $300.00. So what would be the installation charges? Well to my dismay the total for parts and labor came to $1997.00. So I was charged $1600.00 for labor! This is a bit excessive and there seems to not be any transparency in there quotes or invoicing. I’m accustomed to an itemized quote and bill that shows all cost for parts and labor, however I’m seeing that this is a common practice amongst businesses. I have no clue how they came to such an inflated rate for labor which seems I was billed $400.00 per hour for labor, when the technician arrived around 11am had to leave to get the parts came back a little after 12pm and was finished just before 2pm. I’ll admit the technician was polite, professional and knowledgeable to say the least but that company has to provide more transparency and homeowners need to research more and ask questions.

Len the plumber took advantage of my elderly mother in law to the tune of $18,500 to fix a leak in her garage. They then pressured her to use their financing to pay with a %29 interest. NEVER EVER will we call them again. We had someone come over to look at the work and was told they used about $200 in parts total, and it's still leaking!!!!

Sorry, but this review is long overdue because of a surgery I had following the work performed by your company. I always use Len the Plumber based on excellent workman, honesty, fair pricing and integrity shown by your techs. Mr J****** is a perfect example of what I mean. He is truly an asset to your company and because of men and women like him who are employed by your company, I will continue to use and recommend Len the Plumber to anyone who needs such services. Our heater was bare and had no oil. When we filled the tank with oil, the heater wouldn't start. We called Len the Plumber. They came out same day. When they looked at the heater they stated that our heater couldn't be bled which we recommended. They quoted us at $3000 to fix our heater. We told them we will get another opinion. They still charged us to look at the heater. Few days later, we told our family friend who looked at the heater. Immediately he bled the heater and now the heater works like new. I try to understand why this company wanted us to pay them $3000 for a service that takes 5 minutes to do and also which they told us couldn't be done but was! We have the quote still that was emailed to us and will never ever call this company for anything again.

True; it was a late afternoon emergency call. But, the technician borrowed MY ladder, fixed the problem with an application of PVC glue and wanted over $680! When I asked for a breakdown of parts and labor, he said they don't break it down like that. When I told him this was the first AND LAST time I would use Len the Plumber, he dropped the cost by $200! Still outrageous.

I’ve accepted the high price of Len the Plumber in the past because my time is valuable and they have always come out and fixed any problem within 12 - 24 hours, and done a good job on the work. That changed with my experience today, and from the looks of all these recent one-star reviews, they’ve gone downhill quite awhile ago. Every couple of years we have to get our work sewer line snaked because someone flushes something they shouldn’t have. We’ve always used LTP for this and been satisfied, but this time was a fiasco. The first tech showed up, claimed to not have the right equipment, then left. The second tech showed up and claimed that the sewer line was no longer clogged because he was able to flush the toilet a few times and it didn’t back up. He left, and 30 minutes later the toilet and shower drains were backing up. We called LPT and they said the tech would come right back after he finished his next job. That was at 12PM. At about 3:45pm I called to get an ETA for the tech and was told he just finished his other job and was on his way. At 6pm I called to see where the tech was. An answering service took my info, relayed a message to the dispatcher, and told me I would get an update shortly. At 7pm, after hearing nothing, I called again, and again had my info and ETA request relayed to the dispatcher, who was to contact me shortly. No contact, no update. At 8pm I finally went home, after waiting 8 hours at work, on my one Saturday off in 4. It’s after 11pm now, no call from LTP, and no activity on the work location Ring camera. What an absolutely unprofessional sh*tshow on every level.
This is just an informative review. I won’t be using LTP services ever again, so whoever gets paid to post the, “we’re so sorry you had this experience..” replies can just save it. Maybe put that energy towards getting your house in order.

The plumber that was sent to my house told me that my shower fixture needed to be replaced. I'm an architect and I know that fixtures typically cost anywhere from $100 to $300. Typical installation cost problem or the double that so I was looking at a cost of maybe $600. Then the plumber wanted to charge me $2200 to replace a shower faucet. That is price gouging. Also the plumber refused to show me the cost breakdown the estimate.

The pricing was absolutely sinful. I feel they took advantage of my elderly father badgering and pressuring him with options claiming to be the best or lower pricing which only locked him into some sort of maintenance agreement and yet still did nothing to bring down the cost. I tried talking/reasoning with a manager and got nowhere. He was just snipid suggesting we should probably supervise our father - in other words " . . . It's not our falt we were able to sucker your father into paying our outrageously high price ". The conversation and his attitude devolved into nasty insults - it just took a turn from civility. Totally unprofessional.
My sister is employed with the county and interacts daily with contractors throughout the Baltimore area and everyone of them that she spoke with were stunned about the pricing that LTP charged. I asked for an itemization of charges but was told they don't do that because they "provide the same quality service for all their customers". Wow, how convenient. It's more like they want to be able to charge whatever rediculous price they want without any justification. There are very good quality water heaters but none of them would ever cost any where near $3300. And you can say all you want that you "provide the best/skillful labor and services" but that too would not justify $3300. Every business makes such claims. There was no special circumstances nor any unusual situation and hence LTP did not have to provide anything that was beyond a simple or standard hot water heater replacement. This was just plainly and simply disgraceful!! I understand a need to make a profit, but at some point it becomes pure unadulterated GREED! What makes it even worse is when it happens to the public's most vulnerable -- our elderly. Have you no shame, LTP?!!

Len The Plumber is a major scam. Over priced beyond your imagination. Run away.
I was quoted an absurd amount to change a faucet (over $700). I found a local plumber who charged $300 which is normal,
