In September 2022, for $2,000.00, I purchased a Money Map Press LIFETIME membership to a web based stock picking service called ********* ***** which consisted of a three person team of Mr. Kenny ****** an alias named Solid Jello, and an alias named Eight-Baller.
This Lifetime service was terminated by Money Map Press in May 2023 after 9 months without any pause, warning or explanation, and with no recourse to obtain a refund.
I think you will agree that a LIFETIME membership that expires in 9 months is not a normal business practice.
(Kenny ***** and the others are still alive and trading.)
Anything that BBB can do to help me recover funds and prevent others from falling into these bogus "LIFETIME" memberships would be greatly appreciated. (If you are successful in obtaining a refund, it will be to a different credit card than the original purchase.) Thank you.Customer Answer

In April 2022 Money Map Press organized a webinar which I attended as they were selling access to a financial market live room which was called The Warlock's Room. In this webinar they explained how the service works and they had an offer for a Lifetime subscription to access this financial market live room for $4.999. After attending this webinar I decided to purchase the Lifetime subscription and I paid $4.999 on 04/18/2022. To my surprise they informed me after the payment that I also had to pay $199 annually for a maintenance fee each calendar year, and I paid this fee in April 2022 and also in April 2023. I was surprised as this fee was never mentioned before.
I was an attendee of this live room which worked fine, and then suddenly the access to this live room disappeared and they started to send me emails to have access to other of their services which I didn't want to have.
Today I called Money Map Press to get an explanation about the situation and to ask for a refund since I paid for a Lifetime access to a service which suddenly disappeared a few months after I paid for the Lifetime subscription. They told me that indeed the service is not available anymore and they will not refund me the subscription except for $200. I told them this was unacceptable and they told me that's all they can do for me, which indeed I find unacceptable.Business Response

On or about 4/29/22, I joined Warlocks World on a Lifetime membership. The cost was $ 4,518.81. There are several issues. First, there were to be "zero annual fees, One single payment and you're in for life." When I called to join, I verified this with the rep. I was placed on hold and he came back and said I was right, no annual fee. I was informed in early April, 23 that I would be charged the annual maintenance fee. I questioned and was told "zero annual fees was in reference to paying the full cost each year." I paid the annual fee since I liked the service very much. The 211.64 maintenance was charged on 4/25/23. Now I was informed that the service has been canceled/discontinued because their business model is changing from trading to investing. I have used the service for approximately one year, nowhere near the "lifetime" they advertised. The yearly cost was significantly lower than the lifetime cost (about 1/2 the price). I called an requested a refund of the entire amount paid for the LIFETIME service and was told there are no refunds. I would be transferred to another service. I stated I did not want to be transferred to a service that I had no interest in. I joined Warlocks World with ***** ***** and if they couldn't provide that, I wanted a refund. I was denied again. They canceled the service and are unable to provide what I paid for, so MMP should provide full refund of initial cost and the maintenance fee, total $ 4,730.45. I am not interested in any of the services offered in lieu of the one I purchased. Also of note, this service and ***** ***** are continuing under another business but MMP claims they are unable to transfer memberships to the new provider.Business Response

Ms. ****,
While we acknowledge that we did run the ad you attached - which was admittedly incorrect - both the promo and the order form that you completed before purchase included prominent mention of the $199.00 yearly maintenance fee ($211.64 after taxes). Your subscription to Warlock's World was $2,295 for one year with a no refund policy, and you added the lifetime option for an additional $2,000.00.
Because you kept and used the service for a full year, and that year was purchased with an advertised no-refund policy, we have refunded $2,000.00 for the cost of the lifetime upgrade along with $211.64 for the yearly maintenance fee. In addition, we have cancelled and refunded your subscription to Trade the Close for an additional refund of $1,063.50. These will all be returned to the form of payment(s) you used to make the original purchases in the next 5-7 business days.
Sincerely,
Money Map Press

I have reviewed the response and have noted the following:1. I did not fill out any order form that stated an annual fee. I called in to place the order and specifically asked about this and was told there was no annual fee. There was no added option of lifetime membership. The cost was for lifetime membership and was not broken down between annual and lifetime. However, these are moot points right now.2. On my final call to the company, I advised that I filed a complaint with the BBB and was offered a 2000.00 refund. This was refunded to my credit card. However, the $ 211.64 for the yearly maintenance (which would have covered the year from 4/23-4/24) was NOT refunded. I am still due this amount.3. The Trade the Close service was refunded because it was an upgrade to lifetime and the membership was due to start in September after my yearly ran out and they couldn’t provide this service to me.I did agree to the refunds mentioned in their response which were offered only after I filed a complaint, but they have yet to provide the final $ 211.64 refund to my card. If that credit is provided, I would consider this response satisfactory.Thank you.Sent from my iPadInitial Complaint

I paid for a lifetime subscription to all of the services at Money Map Press. Within a few months after joining a began to realize that their results with trading were nowhere near what they advertised. They opened so many new services based upon what I believe were false claims. There was too much confusion over the schedule, prices paid by different individuals. I hear they may be going out of business and I would like my money returned ASAP because they lured me in with what I feel were false promises.Business Response

Purchased “Microcurrency Trader” by Tom ******* Lifetime Membership for $2,495 May 25, 2020 (Order * ********* from MoneyMap Press. Program had false or misleading advertising practice and claimed gains over 1700 % or more with the “Microcurrency Wave Crossover Tool”. And that there would be 52 such opportunities in a year and it is going to be quite a ride. Promised 25,000 % total profits in the next 12 months and that Tom ******* and put $4.4 Million of the line.
Returns from the program portfolio as of 5/3/2023 7.59 PM CST was taken from the American Institute of Crpto Investors Microcurrency Trader (website ****************).
Average return adds upto -58.06 % which is nowhere near the claimed 25,000 % total profit which attracted me to the program. I am terribly disappointed by the “Microcurrency Trader” program by Tom ******* as a part of Money Map Press and feel I have been scammed. I waited for 2 years to see if the program would become profitable as advertised but it never did. I finally decided to file a complaint with BBB.
Would like to cancel my membership and request refund for the $2,495 lifetime membership I paid and the $195 Crossover tool maintenance fee I paid in May 2022 or I might be forced to file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission on misleading advertisement by Money Map Press for Tom ******* Microcurrency Trader. Business will not refund lifetime membership fee.Business Response

Hello,
We have issued refunds in the amounts of $2,495.00 and $195.00. These will be returned to the form of payment you used to make the original purchase in the next 5-7 business days.
However we would like to clarify that the guarantee in this service was "the chance to see 25,000% in cumulative microcurrency gains in the next year or else we'll give you another year of service on the house." There was no promise of a 25,000% average return or an offer of a refund.

I purchased two trading systems from Money Map Press. They both listed thirty day refunds if the buyer was not satisfied. During the thirty day trial period, I decided to cancel the subscription and I asked for a refund. Money Map Press then contacted me and told me that I would have to take a course to qualify for the refund. They did not inform me of this before the purchase. I then contacted my credit card company for a refund. When they contacted Money Map Press, they were furnished with several pages of instructions that purchasers were to follow to qualify for a refund. The instructions were in very small print and were difficult to read. However, my issue was that this requirement was not furnished prior to my purchase. I feel that Money Map Press should do the Right Thing and refund my Money!!! They owe me in excess of $5,000. and have not acted in Good Faith!! All of their moves to deny my refund were done after the fact. I am looking for a full refund from this company instead of their stance to date of deception.Business Response

Mr. ********,
We appreciated the chance to speak with you about this issue recently. Your membership order form clearly states in two different places that our Learning System must be completed in order to be eligible for a refund, to ensure education on the service. There is no deception on our part about this aspect of the service whatsoever.
We were informed that the chargeback proceeding you began against us in this matter was recently decided in our favor, but as discussed, we have decided to issue you a refund in full in the amount of $3,000.00, which will be returned to you in the next 5-7 business days via the method of payment you used to make the original purchase.

I am writing to report Money Map Press for conducting business activities in a manner that is deceptive and unfair to consumers, misrepresenting the value they deliver and making themselves pass as a part of *** ********* business. On March 12th, 2023, I purchased what I believed to be The Unlimited Darknet signal search with a Lifetime membership from Tom ******* after watching a video showing Tom ******* selling his Darknet product. That video from Tom ******* convinced me of the value of his Darknet signal application and made me believe I was purchasing his Darknet application through the Elite Level lifetime membership as you see in the image attached. The next day,I found that the company selling the product was Money Map Press, they are not Tom *******, and they also do not provide the Darknet application in a lifetime basis as it was misrepresented through the video and their advertising page. I paid $3,450 for the membership, understanding I could use on my own the Darknet application from Tom ******* for $345 annually as advertised. I asked Money Map Press how to access the membership, and they directed me to ****************. I asked where I could access the Darknet signals application and they sent me to ****************. I could not log into this URL so I called customer support for Tom *******, and they told me I did not have any membership with them. At this point, I called Money Map Press again and after speaking with 3 different representatives, I discovered that the membership they sold was not what they promised, and based on that I requested a refund which was denied multiple times. I believe that Money Map Press is engaging in deceptive and unfair trade practices by making false representations and false claims about what they offer. I believe Money Map Press is purposely deceiving consumers and that is why they are not willing to provide refunds. I am seeking support to receive a full refund for the $3,450 paid. Thank you.Business Response

In March * 2022 I bought a service called ( ************ Profit ) from a website the speaker name was *** ******* . The service was about option trading recommendations twice a week . He mentions he will be using advanced science and hyper computing to uncover new and exciting 2*4 trades with absolutely Staggering Potential . The subscription to the service was $ ******* * yr . He promised money back guarantees if not satisfied during the first 30 days . I subscribed and paid $ 2000 . After 28 days the recommendation causes a big loss in my trading account . in some of his recommendations he says make 3 time's your money in 10 days and by following I lost 80% of my money in one week . I called after seeing his recommendations and asked for my money back after 28 days. Mr * *** didn't mention anything about classes I have to attend to get my money back . Money Map Press informed me that I have to finish classes on the website in order to take my money back . The classes will need about one year to finish and the 30 days will be expired . I am filing this complaint asking to get my money back from them and trying to show the people not to do any business with them .Business Response

I subscribed to a service, Expiration Trader, on November 18, 2022. As stated on the receipt, refunds are available within the first 30 days upon completion of the training.
I submitted an online ticket requesting a refund on December 2, 2022 and have not received a response. I sent an email requesting a refund December 5, 2022 and have received no response. I called December 7, 2022 and spoke with David.
I explained I wanted a refund. After being placed on hold for a few minutes, David said the company policy does not allow for refunds. This is in direct contradiction to what is stated on the receipt. The company terms of service also says the refund policy can be found on the receipt.
I explained this to David, who repeatedly spoke over me, trying to cut me off and not let me finish what I was saying. He stated that his supervisor would tell me the same thing. I then asked to speak with his supervisor. David said his supervisor was not there and kept talking in circles.
This company is not standing behind the 30 day money back guarantee as stated on the receipt. The website states that refunds are paid within 14 days under "Ending a subscription":
