      This hotel is trying to charge me for nights I did not stay and are refusing to look into the matter. I have multiple counts of proof of my location as well as witnesses proving my locations. This hotel cancelled my reservations while I was there and is trying to make me pay for their mistake. They are claiming I was at their hotel when I was not. I also did not have washcloths or towels and did not recieve any for 24hrs after I requested some. We also did not have a room ready upon arrival and did not get a room until 8pm when my check in was at 2pm and after I discovered that they cancelled our room and we had to wait even longer for them to correct that. And now they want me to pay for that as well. Do not stay here ever!! Pitch a tent because you'll have better luck!!! Horrible service, horrible hotel, incompetent staff on all levels. Never stay with Marriot Westin again!

      I've always been a fan of Marriott but my recent experience with them changed my mind. They are so unprofessional and instead of handling the issue, they called me a liar. They completely ignore the issue and claiming that they don't keep record of their phone call, even after we showed them the phone log with their number. They refused to deal with the issue. They charged us for the rooms and we showed up and they didn't have the room for us. I even went talk to the corporate consumer affair and they still pointing fingers at me. I WILL NEVER STAY AT ANY OF THEIR HOTELS.

      We stayed at fair field inn … the staff was rude and had no knowledge of anything. We had rocked in our room. The hotel smelled like smoke severely bad and I almost had an asthma attack…… Everytime I asked for the managers name and number the staff played like they didn’t know the info…. The manager finally came in and refused to give me his name and I highly doubt he was the manager…. He told me he would comp our stayed for all the problems … after chewing out of the hotel and looking at my bank account a day later they took money out anyways…. When I called to discuss the matter with the manager I was told he would call me back and never did…. Not to mention the housekeeping staff trashed our hair products. I now have to file a dispute with my bank because they took my bank into over draft… this hotel was nasty not clean and smelled like smoke.. the bread that was put out for breaks had mold on it as well. I don’t recommend that anyone stay here… I will be contacting OSHA as well because this hotel needs to be shut down!

      We booked the hotel via *********** for one night on Oct 1st. When we arrive the hotel around 6pm and tried to check in. However, they said that they don’t have room for me and often me another hotel several miles away with the same level or better grade. I complained about it and the lady said it was what it was it. It was late and I had no choice to accept it. The hotel they offer was Tru by Hilton. When we arrived this hotel, we found out that the room was very small and the grade level is not what they said. It was late and I was only stay one night, so I stayed tat that hotel unwillingly. I complained to the Marriott corp and they didn’t care since I booked through third party. They said that if I need to complain, I need to complain to *********** and need *********** complains to them. After that incident, I will never book any hotel under Marriott brand.

      I chose The W even though our economy is on the brink of a recession; I was told the staff was "incredible" by a friend who had a event there. She spoke about how seamless the process was. Her event coordinator welcomed her, paid for her lunch, sent her off with a packet of information and a gift bag. Conversely, my experience has been terrible. I'm celebrating my 50th birthday party at The W Austin Hotel located at *** ****** *** ******* ** ***** Saturday 10/1/22. From the beginning, it took an exorbitant amount of time for the event coordinator (EC) to return my call. Instead of calling me, he would email me which slowed the process down to a crawl. I had to nearly beg for callbacks and an onsite meeting to view the space. He blatantly made it clear that he did not want to spend time with me discussing an event until I signed a contract. When I arrived at The W, TJ didn't have an information packet for me or even offer a bottle of water. He quoted me 5K for the Screen Porch room that is used daily as a lounge area for guests. It's the smallest nontraditional event space in the hotel. When I attempted to negotiate pricing, he condescendingly said, "Well, this is the W". He spent about 15 minutes with me. It took me longer to drive there. He didn't show me any rooms or even offer me a bottle of water. I had to ask him to comp my parking. I repeatedly asked for a room block and was blown off which resulted in some of my guests booking at other hotels. Moreover, when I finally received the link for the room blocked it didn't work properly and had to be tweaked several times. TJ overcharged my credit card, and has been difficult at every turn. Escalating to his supervisor Blake has been useless. Due to character limitations I'm not able to include everything that has transpired. Ultimately, I want to submit a formal complaint to corporate so they know how customers are being abused be TJ and ignored by Blake. The W Austin has gone down hill. I regret doing business wit

      I was in the Residence Inn by Marriot in * ****** **** ***** ****** ** ***** **** ******** ** *********. I may have checked out 9/13/2022. I don't remember that well when I checked out and that was because the hotel staff there allowed police to enter to try to arrest me for a "wellness check". I had to stay in White Plains hospital at ** **** **** ***** ***** against my will. The EMT women said that I'd be okay to leave after I saw the doctor. I saw the doctor and he said I could leave only after a person I know vouched for me that I wasn't suicidal. I did have someone do that and the doctor cleared me to leave and said to wait for my discharge papers. I didn't get to leave easily. A nurse said that SHE decides when I leave and the same doctor that wouldn't let me speak to patient rights advocate told me that she was right after HE said he was the only that could let me leave after screaming at me and taking away my belongings like my cell phone and telling a guard to put it in a locker. I eventually left with my belongings from the hospital and checked out early out of fear. I wasn't arrested by the way. But why was the police allowed in to take me anyway? I've never seen wellness checks done in hotels and they had all the texts from my friend who paid for me to stay there for two weeks. They showed it to me, the officers. Needless to say, I had a horrible time at Residence Inn by Marriot in White Plains.

      If I could give this hotel no stars, I would.
      On August 18, 2022, I made a reservation for three other military personnel in my group to ensure they received the government rate.
      On August 25, 2022, I modified ONE of my two reservations from three rooms to one. KEYWORD (MODIFIED.)
      On 28 August I contacted reservations to make sure I only had two reservations one room each and I was told YES (Two rooms total) and both would have a King size bed.
      I kept calling because they were NOT sending emails to the correct email address.
      Check-in September 13, I confirmed with the front desk that I only had TWO rooms under my name. The front desk found both of my reservations one was given to the Airman who needed the room and the other for me. When I got back from vacation I checked my government travel card statement and found that I was charged for three rooms. One was the charge for the room I used and two additional rooms that were considered NO SHOWS. The initial reservation was for three rooms and I modified that reservation to have two removed. It seems that the reservation either did not adjust the rooms as asked or just simply created a second reservation. Eitherway, I was at the hotel and used a rooms so I am curious as to why they waited for me to leave to charge me for the other two rooms I requested to be removed from the reservation. This is the shadiest hotel I have ever stayed at and I've traveled all over the world.
      Adding to the terrible experience the hotel manager Vivian continued to gas light me asking for a cancellation number to the MODIFIED reservation. Stay away from this hotel if you can.

      My family and I made reservations based on the Marriott brand. This group could not supply the basic amenities or comforts advertised on their site.Our room had no internet (which made completing class assignments difficult). The room smelled like mildew and had no soap(they were out and couldn’t get any). The deadbolt did not lock on our room and for a large part of the night the side door to the hotel didn’t close, breaching basic security standards for a hotel. To top it off we had no hot water to shower. We talked to the person at the desk. We were told to contact GM. He conveniently stepped away from desk, was in a meeting or our call went directly to voicemail. I so not typically file complaints but dismissing a customer who paid a total of $167 to stay at this facility is insulting and poor business. We have also contacted Marriott. As members, we feel this place should be flagged so that others do not waste points making reservations here in the future.

      Do not use Marriott! Had to cancel a room for ONE night two days ahead of a stay because a family member has tested positive for COVID. Marriott would not refund my one night stay! I should’ve just showed up with Covid since that’s what they obviously expect you to do. Not to mention I sat on hold for nearly 15 minutes to be told they could not refund my stay. Terrible customer service for unforeseen circumstances. We travel a lot and I can assure you, I’m a Hilton customer from now on!

      I worked for courtyard by Marriott in Columbia SC..on 630 assembly st. I was wrongfully terminated and blindsided on 9/7/22 .. for the craziest reasons, I was never able to try to defend myself. The management is horrendous!!! From the house keeping manager to the general manager. I would not recommend this hotel for employment by anyone!!
