  Review for Karma Group Job Performed March 2024 Rating: 1 out of 5 stars In March 2024, I hired Karma Group to install a stamped concrete patio for $13,500. The goal was to match the brown tone of my existing concrete with a wood grain finish. Unfortunately, the results were extremely poor and have led to over a year of frustration with no resolution.Issues with the Project:The color of the concrete is significantly off from what was agreed upon.The stamp pattern is inconsistent, and there are areas where kneeling pads left permanent impressions in the surface.A ramp was installed incorrectly, creating a trip hazard for anyone walking across it.Within weeks, the concrete cracked. Karma Group returned and used a circular saw to remove a section and patch it, leaving unsightly jagged lines and mismatched concrete.During installation, they cut my downspouts and left them hanging.Ive had several independent contractors examine the work, all of whom described it as substandard. Even Karma Group admitted that the concrete supplier they used was not ideal.Despite my attempts to resolve the matter, Ive received little more than vague excuses and long periods of no communication. I was initially planning to use this company for other projects, but after this experience, Im thankful I didnt. I am now strongly considering pursuing legal action to recover damages.I do not recommend Karma Group based on my experience. The quality of work and customer service has been unacceptable.

  We appreciate the opportunity to respond to this feedback and take the concerns raised very seriously. We're sorry to hear that the stamped concrete patio completed in March 2024 did not meet the customer's expectations.
  From the outset, our goal was to deliver a patio that aligned with the client's design preferences, including color and pattern. Unfortunately, unforeseen challenges during the installationincluding inconsistencies with the concrete suppliers miximpacted the final result. We acknowledge that the finished color did not perfectly match the existing concrete, and that surface imperfections occurred due to the stamping process.
  Upon being made aware of the concerns, our team returned to address the most pressing issues, including the crack repair and ramp. While we regret that the patching method was not to the clients satisfaction, it was done in good faith to resolve the problem in a timely manner. We also acknowledge communication gaps that may have contributed to the client's frustration and are actively working to improve internal processes to prevent such issues moving forward.
  Weve successfully completed many stamped concrete projects and strive to provide high-quality craftsmanship and responsive service. While we regret that this project did not reflect that standard, we remain open to further dialogue should the client wish to pursue resolution.

  Karma has been a nightmare. It has taken over a year for them to finish my simple project--deck ********************* room installation. 3 project managers have quit, leaving our backyard a mess. Their craftmaship is poor at best. Run away from this company as fast as you can. ****** never returns phone calls. ****** never shows up when she's scheduled. ****** attempts to solve problems but never follows through. I could only imagine that the positive reviews of this company are fraud.

Your project did face delays, in part due to multiple design changesparticularly to the deck railingwhich extended timelines and required adjustments mid-construction.   This company is fraudulent, they hired us to assist with new construction on a property in *********, ** and they are always late on paying invoices for completed work and always lie about making payment arrangements. Would not recommend doing any business with these people they are criminals.

Here's a professional and firm response you could post in reply to the review:---We take accusations like this very seriously and are disappointed to see such a misleading and defamatory review. This individual worked with our company on multiple projects, and unfortunately, their workmanship on one of the jobs resulted in significant damage to a separate residence. As a result, we had to escalate the matter through our insurance and legal channels. Despite these issues, they were paid **in full** for the Annandale job in fact, **they were overpaid**. Any delays in payment were related to verifying work completion and resolving quality concerns stemming from their own errors on a prior job. We hold ourselves to a high standard of professionalism and accountability and expect the same from anyone we subcontract. We urge anyone reading this to contact us directly for accurate information and references.
