$1,200 deposit paid, & balance to be paid at contract completion. Contractor was informed of multiple contract deficiencies in workmanship. At 4/9/2024 contract was not complete; and remaining balance of $3,400.00 was not due until total job is complete per T&C's of contract. Yet, Otari Gegeshidze, Deck Soldier CEO was demanding a 50% advance pre-payment of the contract remaining balance before the contractor will agree to cure these deficiencies in workmanship. This demand for 50% advance pre-payment of the contract balance before the contractor will agree to cure these deficiencies in workmanship is unethical & a MATERIAL BREACH OF CONTRACT.
Overall, workmanship quality is terrible. Below is a list of deficiencies on my job:
Deck Soldier did NOT latex paint the 1 x 4’s around the windows.
Deck Soldier never pressure washed the missed lattice. Two deck supports: were not painted. There are ugly paint runs on multiple deck board ends and other places. Deck Soldier failed to put down enough cover and then managed to over spray on the landscaping rock. Your two guys solution to correct the overspray on the landscaping rock was to start kicking the rocks around to mix them up. Obviously, kicking rocks around does not remove the paint from the rocks, and that’s childish behavior in the first place. New Rock will have to be brought in to replace the over sprayed rock. There is Overspray on the concrete and siding. Multiple areas that required wood filler were not filled. Rather than letting the first dry and return on 4/9 to finish the job, Deck Soldier insisted on applying the second DECKOVER COAT OVER A VERY WET FIRST COAT on deck boards and railings. Deck Soldier did not apply two coats on two of lattices. Loose Corner deck piece did not get reset. Deck Soldier piled up their trash in my yard and refused pack it into their pickup truck for removal. Your trash needs to be removed.
