      McCrea replaced our 18-month old HVAC compresser (under warranty) for $2,229. This price included the refrigerant and a 10% senior discount. It did not include an additional $110 fee for diagnostic. According to a reliable website, the labor cost (for replacing a compresser) should be between $800 and $1,200. The McCrea tech was able to do the work in 2.5 hours. He returned the following week (warmer weather) to test the unit. McCea would not furnish me with any breakdown on how they came up with the $2,229 …. this is totally unacceptable and disturbing!

      They take no pride in the products they sell. A brand new installation of AC UNIT given us problem. The upstairs wasn't cooling despite closing the vent in yhe rest of the house. Goodluck getting your problem s fixed. They will send you an incompetent technician who shows up resolving nothing. This company are crooks

      We purchased a newly constructed home in July 2019, and we have had to call McCrea on numerous occasions for continuous issues with the HVAC system installed by them. For each visit we’ve paid over $140 along with an annual membership plan for $145. Their first visit was August 2019, then September 2019, and then October 2019 to replace the condensate pump. As of today, the pump still shakes our home and is extremely loud. We can hear the condensate pump throughout the house, up to the 3rd floor. They had informed us that the warranty had expired and then charged us for a fee to fix the system again. Next, the thermostat stops working well. Even though, we set the thermostat on 77 degrees, the temperature goes down to 73, 72, 71, and the AC comes on every 10 minutes. Now the house is freezing but the thermostat on the upper level is 77 and no air. Now, we are exhausted and financially drain due to these costly appointments and a damaged HVAC system they installed in our new home. This has been a horrible experience and we just want a system that works but that seems impossible according to McCrea.
