They took my money for a Propane delivery upon my order on December 6, 2024 and I am still waiting for the delivery. I have called twice and was told I am in the Que but no delivery has occurred. They hold the money for as long as possible without delivery so they can bank the money and try to make interest on the account without paying out for the fuel. Really bad way to do business

We were new customers last year and we were pleased with their price of $2.39/gallon on propane. This September we paid $3.69/gallon and today $5.09/gallon!!Robbery!!Double the price of last year!!I tried calling 3 times and got nowhere They said it can be any amount cause were paying cash on delivery Punished for not having credit It could be any amount!!I must switch companies!!Are they going to charge $10/gallon next time?

Absolute worst company I have ever dealt with. I ordered propane online and received a text message immediately saying my propane would be delivered the next day. 3:50pm the next day I called the office to confirm that it was coming. First of all the direct number to my local office went to somewhere else, where the lady that answered told me there is no way that will be delivered today. It's funny they will make the delivery for a c*** ton dollars in emergency fees but won't hold to the confirmation delivery text I received. The fees they charge for hazmat and some other stupid nonsense that no other companies charge for. You would think a company with an F rating at 1.67/5 stars would change things to satisfy their customers.I only gave 1 star because it wouldn't let me proceed with zero. ZERO stars is my actual rating

In November 2023 Downeast Energy wanted to charge me $90 for a minimum usage fee. I complained and got the charge reversed. Then I asked them to come pick up the propane tank because I was going with a different company. On 12/12/2023 they picked the tank up. Now I am being charged $169 for the 15 minutes it took to unhook and load the tank. Today I spoke to *** at the ********* office and she said they changed for an hour no matter how long they are there. I believe that $169 is quite excessive for them to retrieve their property.

Downeast Energy automatically supplies (and charges to my credit card) heating oil for the furnace and propane for the generator and fireplace. I had a fuel delivery on 12/13/22. My daughter who has delivery from another company just two days earlier asked me if what she was paying was too high ($4.09)? I checked. Her price looked okay, but I had been charged $5.59 by Downeast!! My son's supplier was charged $3.73 from yet another supplier. It was good that I checked. I was charged about 40-50% above what my children were paying. This at a time when Americans are feeling the pinch and in ***** the cold also. I will of course challenge this, but the Governor should make sure that Downeast ends such overcharging. It is simply wrong when people agree to automatic charge to their credit card. We would assume that prices could vary a few cents from one supplier to another, but a difference of $1.50/gallon or $1.86/gallon difference!!The company has been non responsive. I was told that a manger would call me back. No one called me back. I called again at 8:10 a.m. on 12/14/22 and was told all the managers were at a meeting and would call when the meeting was over. No one called me all day. I called the company that had acquired Downeast Energy. Still no response!***** consumers beware. **************** for price. Dont allow a company to charge your card before you know the price! Challenge them on your credit card bill.Write letters to the ************ and notify TV stations.

I have been with Downeast Energy for three *******. They also installed my new furnace last year. I have had 100% positive experiences from calling them with any questions to service calls at night. Everyone is friendly and helpful. I also like the online account manager.
