My now husband spent 6 MONTHS trying to find the RIGHT ring, the perfect natural stone, perfect band, setting, you name it for a hefty price, over $10k. 6 months in the works for my FIRST ring that I had for 2.5 years. I LOVED my ring, but unfortunately continued to have issues with it. I was in Days every 6-8 months (yes during the 2.5 yr period) for a loose prong, a side stone fell out or even the main stone loose. Every time we went in, it was some reason about, "its because your have shared prongs" or "Its the type of metal you have" or "Don't wear it to sleep in, or in the shower, or washing dishes" etc. You name it. 2 weeks before our wedding, I lost 2 side stones, dropped it off for repair and it was only a week AFTER my wedding I noticed the 2 side stones were the wrong size. Nothing was mentioned to me at the time of pickup, trusting they did the right thing. I am mentally, emotionally and physically exhausted of dealing with issues with my ring from Days. Every time we go in, its some excuse or new "tip" to handle the ring so nothing falls out. I finally swapped my setting because I was tired of losing stones. I got my SECOND ring in October 2024, and here we are at the end of January 2025, and I ALREADY lost another stone. I follow all of the tips on wear and tear. I never wear my ring anymore because I'm afraid of losing stones now. I never sleep in it, I never shower in it, I don't do laundry or dishes with it on. I literally wear it 2-3 times a week for maybe 5-7 hours, at most. And here we are, lost a stone last night and we are at the ******** with this place. It is heartbreaking to have something so sentimental become such an issue. So to all looking at engagement rings, please shop around. Everyone is a sales person at the end of the day at retail places. Ultimately, we just don't want to deal with this anymore, take the ring and we want a full refund or the next step is a lawyer.

      Business Response

      Date: 02/05/2025

      Dear Better Business Bureau,

We appreciate the opportunity to respond to this complaint and provide clarification regarding the resolution we have reached with *** & ******.

On Saturday, February 1st, from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM, we met privately with *** & ****** at our ******, ** location to discuss their concerns. During this meeting, the customer acknowledged and agreed that their original concern with the engagement ring had been fully resolved. The engagement ring was replaced with a different setting that ****** personally selected after being presented with various options.

To further address their concerns regarding the wedding bands, we offered the following three resolution options:

1.) Return both wedding bands for a full refund of $1,899.98 (including the care plans purchased for each band.)

2.) Remake both wedding bands in 14K white gold (Size 5.5) at no additional charge.

3.) Remake the entire set (one engagement ring and two wedding bands) in Platinum at no additional charge.

*** & ****** stated they wanted to take some time to consider their options before making a decision.

On Monday, February 3rd, ****** informed us by phone that they would like to proceed with our offer to upgrade the entire set to Platinum at no additional charge.

We are pleased to have been able to provide a resolution that meets their needs and look forward to completing their upgraded set.
