In November 2019, BBB investigated Ballast Associates business practices. This investigation was prompted by consumer inquiries. BBB attempted to reach out to the company via certified mail, telephone, and email and requested the company clarify the nature of its business, but BBB received no response. Certified mail BBB sent to PO Box 7475, Bloomfield Hills, MI 48302 (the only contact address listed on the website - www.ballastassociates.com) was returned by the US Postal Service as “Undeliverable – Moved, Left No Address”.
According to information in BBB's files, Ballast Associates is not a registered business name in the State of Michigan. Disclosures on the website indicated the business is a paid marketing lead generator, not a lender. The website was later reduced to one page directing consumers to contact them via email only. It does not disclose a physical address for the business.
BBB has exhausted all forms of contact with the business.
