    I am filing this complaint on behalf of my 76 year old father. On 1/2/2023 my father went to the mentioned gas station to purchase gas, using his $50 Mobile gift card given to him for Christmas. The pump stopped at $7 for unknown reasons. He went inside and the attendant said he could see that there was still $43 on the card but claimed to not know how to return it. He asked my father to return the next morning to speak to the owner. My father returned early morning on 1/3/2023, and was told the owner was not in and he did not know when he would be in. Since that time period my father has made at least four trips back at the request of the cashier, but can never catch the owner. We have called the gas station many times, only to be lied to and they laugh as if this is a joke. It's apparent that the gas station owner and employee are not willing to give my father back his $43, even after acknowledging there was an issue with the pump on 1/2. They have laughed at my father treating him like he did something wrong. I believe that the attendant used the remaining balance on the card, or allowed someone else to use it. I would like the BBB to intervene and help ** rectify this situation. This situation has caused undue stress for my elderly father, this is unacceptable. Thank you side note/ we did verify with the card issuer that the card was good and had been activated
